Biography: Telehealth visits are available.Dr. Arias received his Bachelor of Arts and Science from Washington University in St. Louis and completed his Doctor of Medicine at Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons in New York. He then returned to Washington University for residency training in Neurological Surgery, which included a seven-month experience as Registrar in Neurological Surgery at Beaumont Hospital in Dublin, Ireland. He then remained at Washington University for an Endovascular Surgical Neuroradiology fellowship at the renowned Mallinckrodt Institute of Radiology. He maintains a focus in cerebrovascular neurosurgery, with numerous research projects and publications in leading journals. Thanks to Dr. Arias' training as both a neurosurgeon and endovascular neurroradiologist, he can provide both perspectives in a single sitting. This allos a comprehensive, unbiased perspective, offering both open surgical and minimally invasive endovascular approaches to cerebrovascular lesions, such as aneurysms, arteriovenous malformations, moyamoya disease, stroke, and carotid stenosis. Biography: Dr. Gary Schmidt is a board-certified, fellowship-trained orthopedic foot and ankle surgeon specializing in post-traumatic reconstruction of the foot and ankle, foot and ankle deformity in adults and athletic injuries. He also treats patients with common foot problems, including bunions and heel pain. Dr. Schmidt has more than three decades of clinical experience and has been active in teaching and research with publication in various medical journals. Dr. Schmidt also gained valuable sports medicine experience while working with the Montreal Canadiens, Montreal Expos as well as serving as a team physician for the McGill hockey team. Dr. Schmidt performed a total ankle replacement on me one year ago. It has truly changed my life. After 15 years of limping in pain, with little results from another doctor, I found Dr. Schmidt. Dr. Schmidt is committed to providing the highest quality surgical care that reduces risk of complications, while minimizing pain and recovery time. Often using minimally invasive and arthroscopic technology and techniques, many of Dr. Schmidt's patients benefit from reduced blood loss, fewer complications, decreased pain, shorter recovery times and minimal scarring. Since the replacement of my ankle with the latest in technology, I can already walk with grace and confidence. Pain is minimal, and I'm told as I complete my PT, it will all get even better. After earning his medical degree from the University of Saskatchewan College of Medicine in Saskatoon, Canada, Dr. Schmidt completed an internship and an orthopedic residency at McGill University in Montreal, Quebec. He then furthered his training with a foot and ankle fellowship at the Medical College of Wisconsin. After practicing for more than 20 years in Missouri, Dr. Schmidt relocated to Colorado where he provides advanced care for conditions of the foot and ankle to patients in the Denver metro area.
