Dr. Golkar received his undergraduate degree from Emory University in 2000 and obtained his medical degree from the University of South Florida in 2005. Later on, in 2005, Dr. Golkar began his residency in General Surgery and completed his Advanced GI Surgery/Hepato-pancreato-biliary Fellowship in 2011 at the University of South Florida.Dr. Golkar demonstrates exemplary skills and knowledge with years of service, while also providing high-quality care. Although chemotherapy is still frequently employed, he is excited to share new targeted and immunotherapy options with patients. Dr. Machado earned his medical degree with honors at Saba University School of Medicine in the Caribbean and undertook his residency training at the University of Florida/Shands Hospital in Gainesville, where he was named Chief Resident. He obtained his sub-specialty training at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, where he completed his Oncology/Hematology fellowship and was named Chief Fellow.
