This Doctor is HORRIBLE & DEMEANING!!!
This doctor was assigned to oversee my Mom at Advent Health, after 4 days of her being hospitalized, he was not able to articulate the status of what her condition was. He seemed surprised and not aware of the conditions that were mentioned in the notes left by other doctors he assigned to her (i.e. sepsis, congestive heart failure…) When I tried to ask additional questions, he became aggressive, indignant, raised his voice at me, started pointing at me and repeated flailing his arms (i.e. similar to the movements that an umpire makes when a runner is safe..) saying he was NOT going to repeat anything that he said (he hadn’t said anything of significance) and proceeded to say he was NOT going to answer any more questions for me or other family members who wanted to know anything. He seemed more interested in my hat. We requested a new physician. Later in the notes he had the nerve to say: “I had an extensive conversation with her daughter at her bedside”…. He did not!
What went well
  • Staff friendliness
  • Wait times
What could be improved
  • I didn't feel respected
  • Didn't listen or answer questions
  • Didn't explain conditions well
  • Appointment was rushed
  • Didn't trust the provider's decisions

×Post a ResponseAre you Dr. Bahr?
Dr. Bahr cared for me for nearly 30 years. He set the standard by which I’d measure any primary care physician. Though retired now, I still refer to him as my doctor. What a great listener. Sure he has a Joe Friday personality where he sticks to the facts but don’t let him find out that you’re not following his advice or didn’t follow up on a referral. And his staff in NY loved him. He’s the best.
