Biography: Fred Howard, M.D., is board certified in general surgery and is known among his patients as jovial and approachable. He attended the University of Missouri Columbia, where he also completed his residency. A former pitcher for the Chicago White Sox, Dr. Howard practiced in Winter Haven before joining Heart of Florida Physician Group. Dr. Howard provides care for wound care patients and general surgery patients in the greater Lake Wales area. He treats patients with non-healing wounds in an outpatient setting at the Wound Care Center for Lake Wales Medical Center.

His areas of expertise include the use of minimally invasive surgery in the management of colon and rectal cancer, including advanced laparoscopy and transanal surgery. Biography: Dr. Dustin Huynh is co-medical director of Critical Care at Osceola Regional Medical Center. He attended the University of Hawaii - John A. Burns School of Medicine. He went on to complete a surgical critical care fellowship and general surgery residency with University of South Carolina Palmetto Health, where he was nominated for Resident of the Year and was the recipient of the Chief Resident Award. He is board certified in general surgery and surgical critical care. Dr. Huynh is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons, and a member of the Society for Critical Care Medicine and Southeastern Surgical Congress. He is also an Assistant Professor of Surgery at the University of Central Florida, College of Medicine. Other than his interest in trauma and critical care, he specializes in biliary and hernia surgeries. His other areas of interest include minimally invasive laparoscopic/robotic, endocrine, and bread and butter general surgery cases. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his family and friends, travels the world, and anticipates on doing many medical missions in the future.
