Dr. Kirkwood completed his Family Medicine residency at University of Texas Medical Branch. Dr. Kirkwood believes you must treat the whole person rather than just the disease. He enjoys Family Medicine because it is such a broad scope of practice that is challenging and rewarding while you get to build relationships with people and the community. Growing up in a family full of physicians and healthcare professionals, he knew this was going to be his calling.When not treating patients, Dr. Kirkwood loves spending time with family and friends, listening to music, going to church, playing sports, and traveling.
