Extremely Short Visit, Overbilled for $1000
I came in for a straightforward issue — to get a prescription for acne medication that my primary care doctor wasn’t able to prescribe. The doctor spent no more than 5 minutes with me, briefly looked at my face, had a short chat, and told me to schedule a follow-up.I later received a $1,000 bill, coded as a Level 4 visit (CPT 99204), which is typically reserved for 45 or more minutes, moderate-complexity consultations. $600 of which is OOP.

Uncomfortable With Women Patients
I had a terrible experience with Dr. Kasperkiewicz at the Keck Hospital. I would not recommend any woman sees him - he seemed uncomfortable examining me, did not look at my whole body and looked at my chest only after I asked. I had told him I didn’t need an MA in the room during our appointment, but apparently he cannot provide services otherwise, yet did not bring in an MA himself. I had come in hoping to discuss three different issues. Instead Dr. Kasperkiewicz was only in the room with me for three minutes. He did an insufficient mole check, dismissed several problem moles I asked him to look at (two of which I had to go back to have removed a few weeks later with a different provider). Dismissed my concerns about acne and told me he was “not an expert” in my questions about scars.

Excellent Doctor
Dr. Kasperkiewicz is an amazing dermatologist. I’ve been plagued with skin conditions my whole life, and never had a doctor so capable of identifying and treating my chronic conditions. Highly recommend.

Dedicated to solve serious illnesses
He used enough time to examine me. He was professional and efficient. I left with enough information in my case. I was relieved it was not serious. I understand some people would like doctors to spend more time for an appointment, but they should be happy if it’s not needed.

Any doctor but him – Nov 01, 2022

this is the worst doctor I have seen in my 72 years. I drove 25 miles to see him. was late by 2 minutes becUsebof the difficulty of parking and finding his office in the gigantic Keck complex. he refused to see me because I was late. clearly he values his time over welfare of patients. not worth having him care for you.

One of the worst doctor I ever seen practice. He always try to leave as fast as he can, im paying to see him at least respect my time. He told me the procedure was covered by my insurance but fast forward to 2 weeks it was not covered. He also always undermine what you have and brush it off as nothing. You will expect to have a meeting with him for 10 min at least, but he will turn it to a 1 min meeting and will look dissapointed if you have any other concerns if not related.
