Terrible Experience
I had a disappointing experience at Dr. Navid Ezra’s office (CA Dermatology Institute). The staff seemed unorganized and unhelpful, which caused unnecessary delays during my appointment. Communication was poor, and I didn’t feel valued as a patient. Additionally, the office atmosphere felt unwelcoming, and my concerns weren’t addressed. I expected a much higher level of care and efficiency and left feeling frustrated since it was an urgent visit. Furthermore, I discovered that he operates 18 offices primarily staffed by PAs who appear to work without adequate supervision, which goes against medical board guidelines. There is only one practicing doctor overseeing all these locations, with the rest of the care being provided by PAs. This is very misleading when the operator refuses to tell me if I will be seen by the doctor or the physician assistant Do not fall for the 5-star Google reviews. Seek care elsewhere.

DONT GO
I have been to many different dermatologists in my life, and this one was by far the worst. I was hoping he would be good despite bad reviews, but he made a mistake and removed healthy skin cells instead of the cancerous ones, and did not even apologize. Now I am left with a scar and still cancer. I went to another dermatologist that was much more helpful.

Could not have been a worse experience!
Dr. Navid Ezra of California Dermatology Institute is a careless and incompetent dermatologist. After waiting 2 months to get my Mohs surgery for Basal Cell carcinoma, Dr. Ezra surgically missed the location of my nose where the biopsy had been done, by over 2 cm.! The first and only layer of skin removed took 30 seconds. With a full waiting room of patients there for Mohs surgeries time seemed a factor, and he did not take measures to avoid this from happening. I did not receive any apologies, just a call that I needed to have the surgery performed again. I found another doctor who did the surgery, but the entire ordeal has taken 6 months, and I’m still healing from the most recent and possibly deeper tissue and cancer removal than had he done it correctly the first time.

Phony diagnosis
The first 3 or 4 visits went well, although I got a little suspicious when anything I asked him to look at, he would remove. I began to wonder if it was always necessary. The last time I went I had something unusual on my forehead and it wasn’t going away. This time I knew it needed to be removed which he did. He said he would send it out for a biopsy and set a follow up appointment. A couple of days before the follow up I fell and broke my neck, in two places. Rushed to emergency and hospitalized. My daughter canceled the follow up appointment. After 9 months of recovery, I forgot about the follow up. 3 mos. later, one year after he removed the spot, I received a call from him. He said the biopsy showed basil cell cancer and demanded I come in right now, no later than tomorrow. I asked why it took him a year to let me know. He then said it was my fault because I never came for follow up. Needless to say I was extremely upset. Went elsewhere for a second opinion. Nothing was there!

Not recommend if you want to see a doctor
I've been there several times, and I never met a doctor. Always some young Asian assistants see me and prescribe me ointments, which don't work. I have had skin problems since my cancer surgery and chemotherapy, but they said I have chronic eczema. That is so not true at all...

FANTASTIC
Dr Ezra is amazing as well as his PAs. I've been seeing him for 7 years and haven't any complaints. From mole removal, to rashes, to acne, and Bo-tox, he has helped tremendously with it all. At times, I have seen a PA and they offer the same exceptional care. They jump hoops if I encounter an insurance road block. I've done in patient and telehealth and have positive interactions. I highly recommend.

Quite possible the worst experience with a Dr. and his office ever. Had 4 appts directly with Dr. Ezra. I saw him once. His PA's substitute for him without you knowing. One PA mis-diagnosed me and worsened my skin condition for 1.5 weeks. Next appt with Dr. Ezra was cancelled by him 30 minutes before seeing him because of an "emergency" even though I was suffering. 2 months later, I have same skin condition and his office has been nothing short of a nightmare to deal with. Dr. Ezra is so uninvolved with you as a patient and as a human being it's absolutely mind boggling. If you have a skin condition, seek help elsewhere is my overwhelming suggestion.

I was referred to Dr. Ezra by a good friend of mine who had botox and fillers done by him. At my first visit with Dr. Ezra, he took the time to do a full assessment on my facial structure and explained the different options for correcting them. I was nervous about looking fake and "done up", but Dr. Ezra reassured me that I would look like a better version of myself. During the injections, I barely felt a thing! He was so gentle and talked me through each step. I had no bruising and I love it!!!

There is no other doctor comparable to Dr. Ezra. He makes you feel comfortable and confident the minute he walks into the room. I've had acne problems for several years and other doctors kept giving me creams that didn't work. I even traveled to Beverly Hills for cosmetic treatments that cost thousands of dollars. I decided to give Dr. Ezra a try and I'm so happy I did! He has a gentle demeanor and thoroughly listened to me and not only did he treat my acne but he cured it. Best thing was every

I've had the pleasure of knowing Dr. Ezra since I was referred to him several weeks ago. When I first went to his office, I was amazed at what a beautiful office he had. It's a newly constructed building right off the freeway. I thought he might want to sell me on cosmetics like botox and filler, but instead he asked about my skin issues and really took the time to hear what I had to say. He started me on a regimen and after just a couple weeks I got clear skin! I definitely refer him to others!

I have suffered from a severe psoriasis for almost thirty years now. Have tried everything there is only to find a temporary relief. Kaiser Permanente Dermatolgy Department was not able to help much either until I met Dr. Ezra. He was very professional, honest and prescribed the best treatment for my condition. Now, only a month later, my skin is almost completely clear. I believe Dr. Ezra had my best interest in mind, as any true and honest doctor should. I will gladly recommend him to anyone

He is reluctant to examine any condition closely, and jumps to conclusions (which have often proved unfounded) too quickly. Has a supercilious and arrogant air, and talks down to you. Never again!

I recommend Dr. Ezra to all patients who have Kaiser Insurance. He is professional, caring, takes patient's needs and requests into consideration when determining treatment options for his patients. He's thorough as well. I came to him with a rare condition and was able to give me a diagnosis. Next, we will begin treatment. :-)
