Dr. Meredith Lightfoot, MD

Dr. Lightfoot addressed all my concerns and did the testing necessary to confirm things. Although she did seem busy, and I had a wait awhile, because they asked me to come 30 minutes early for my first visit. Since I had done the registration and filled out the health inquiry online, it may not have been necessary to be there that early. Overall, I was ok with it because of traffic concerns, etc. I felt heard, understood, and given a good treatment plan to implement, not using medication yet, which I'm very pleased with. She also ordered a test that I was recommended to get by another doctor 5 years ago, and didn't 'judge me' for neglecting that. She actually eased my mind by just having me go after the appointment and got me in, as I was going to be leaving town. Then, she personally called me to give me the results that there were no issues. I like her direct, positive approach and highly recommend her.

My mother just saw her. She’s 72. Frequent UTI. Symptoms started Friday. Couldn’t get in until today. Saw primary care on Friday because couldn’t get into this one. She was horrible. Told my mom that she isn’t going to treat her because she had already seen primary care doctor then proceeded to tell my mom that she didn’t have time to wait for her culture back or time to treat her Because she is going out of town!! Horrible bedside manner

As a former nurse, I was appalled by the bedside manner. The appointment was VERY rushed. She never let me complete a full sentence and did not even ask about my health issues. She took two things I was TRYING to explain and immediately jumped in with a diagnosis that I do not feel is even accurate. I was given pills to take home and told to come back in two months. Not going back. Wasted my time and money. Going for a second opinion.

BOTH of my appointments with Dr. Lightfoot have been absolutely stellar. She GETS IT! She completely understood the grueling chronic UTI journey I had to undertake and was more than happy to prescribe me my antibiotics that my retired urologist had prescribed without further discussion or deliberation. When my spasms returned - she was quick with a solution and 10 minutes later I’m walking out the door with a plethora of samples, a pamphlet and a 2 month follow up visit.Dr. Lightfoot is compassionate, caring and supportive of my health and happiness. Long gone are the days of sitting in front of a doctor whom I need to state my case, present the facts and fight for my own health. I feel like I no longer have to beg or plead to be heard & I cannot express how grateful I am to have a supportive doctor who makes my ailments, that have defined and overwhelmed so much of my life in the past, feel like simple problems with simple solutions.

While she is very nice, she doesn't listen to your actual symptoms. Almost a cookie cutter answer and didn't get relief. Schedule appointment with new doctor in the hopes of getting a real evaluation.

We had a frank disccussion of my situation and concerns, and we discussed possible courses of actions that could be taken, and what we gave done. I have an unusual situation, and really like that she listens.

Dr Lightfoot listens to my concerns, answers my questions, and is considerate of my time. She is funny, real, and relaxed in a setting that is for me inherently awkward. Her office and staff are helpful and responsive. I highly recommend her for all of your urology needs.

Dr. Lightfoot is personable. She listens attentively. She explains procedures and options helping make the best decisions possible for the best possible outcome. She gives kind and good care. Her staff is professional and courteous.

Office staff were Professional and greeting. Dr Lightfoot listened to my concerns and was able to start me on medication right away.

Dr. Lightfoot is very interested in her patients. She listens to the your concerns and explains in a way that is easy to understand. I like her assistant and the office staff is very professional.

Dr. Lightfoot is one of the best ones that I have been to. I didn't feel rushed at all, told her what my problem was, she said this is how we will fix it. Actually turned into a bit more than originally planned but that is the fault of my uterus needing to be expelled. She actually referred me to the OB who will be doing that piece AND the surgery is scheduled in 2 weeks.

She is knowledgeable & very nice. Precise & to the point.

Bladder sling surgery. Didn't work for incontinence. Hard to get in to see her. She doesn't take hardly any time to find out my issues.

Dr. Lightfoot is an excellent Urologist. I have read through these reviews and my experience has been complete opposite from what I read from the negative comments/reviews. She is extremely knowledgable, patient (I'm a talker, didn't cut me off, let me get my words out) and listens. She is very to the point and perhaps people take that the wrong way... personally spending 30 years in the Military, I love people who speak like this. I want the facts and not all the other mumbo jumbo that comes with it. I went in for a Kidney Stone, she had her nurse do a bladder check, urine sample and an X-ray with a follow up plan. She even personally called me to go over results from the X-ray. Don't believe the negative reviews on here; you can trust Dr. Lightfoot and her staff. I also thought the staff up front (Check-in) was pretty decent as well.

She is the best! She is friendly, but yet a total professional. I highly recommend Dr. Lightfoot.

This doctor is great for routine checkups, and basic urine labs, but if you have a mystery illness and need someone to be invested in your health as if it were their own, this not the doctor. She exhibited good basic bedside manners, but was dismissive when I showed concerns in wanting to further investigate my illness. She wrote me off as an overactive bladder patient, when truly it was an deeper issue called Addisons disease which was damaging my kidneys. This issue could have been prevented had she listened to the patient. Her demeanor lacked empathy, and understanding to my ongoing bladder discomfort. I left her office with no answers to my questions and continued to retain urine for almost a year.
