If you need to communicate to dr Harris outside of your appointment you might as well forget it. I have messaged him a couple of times and he doesn’t respond. After five days I messaged back and asked if I could get a response for my question. The nurse responded and said she would get with him which took several more days. Very rarely does he explain test results to you. So needless to say I will be looking for a dr that cares a little about their patients.

Doctor was great. Office staff totally incompeten!
Went for my first visit today to Dr. Harris. He was very thorough, listened to my issues, and proceeded with a treatment plan that was very reasonable but thorough. I would recommend Dr. Harris. The front office staff however are completely incompetent. After my visit, on check out, I inquired about about paying a cash price opposed to filing on my insurance. Neither worker I spoke to could find what an office visit cost. One actually started pulling old handwritten notes out of a cup she had on her desk. Finally I was given the number to the billing department to get a price. The billing dept. couldn’t help so I called the office manager who informed my I should have been offered a cash payment on check in but they had a temp worker in that position and she may have failed to tell me that. Since I had already completed my visit, my insurance had to be billed. So make sure you ask on check in about payment if you’re not wanting to use insurance because they won’t tell you.

Great Dr. but incompetent front desk staff! – Jul 15, 2022

Dr. Harris seems to be a very good doctor. If you are looking for him to manage your diabetes, it might be better to go elsewhere. He is so over-booked that you will not be able to see him more than twice a year. If you need quarterly monitoring with A1c evaluation, it will not be possible.

Dr. Harris helped me control my diabetes for over ten years. Now I live in another state and realize I left a wonderful, caring, knowledgeable doctor behind. I’m still managing my illness but it’s really hard without Dr. Harris’s input .
