The absolute worst clinic I have ever been to. With type 1 diabetes, detailed and prompt care is needed and this office has neither. No one calls you back. You cannot get your supplies needed and the office staff, besides Nancy at the front desk, is an absolute nightmare to deal with. Wendy Sanders is the saving grace of this clinic. She is thoughtful and really cares about her patients…but with that being said, her care cannot overcome all of the obstacles that this clinic presents. PLEASE NOTE…My answers below are not for Dr Draelos’ care but for Wendy Sanders.

Dr Draelos is Awesome!
I’ve been a patient at the greatest metabolic center for 11 years and no matter who Dr Drealos has assigned me to see I’ve always felt like I’ve been very well taken care of. I recommend this place to anybody struggling with low testosterone, diabetes, etc. thank you Dr Drealos.

I have been seeing Dr Draelos for several years. He is a very attentive and knowledgeable doctor. He has always spent as much time needed for my appointments. I was diagnosed with several autoimmune diseases plus thyroid cancer and a rare lung cancer called neuroendocrine. He always listened to me and believed what I was saying. I believe that I would not be alive today without him. I have a very complicated health conditions. He also sent me to other specialist that I needed that were also as wonderful. I have highly recommended him to several people. My mother and sister are going to him.

I have a condition that every endocrinologist I saw did not & had never heard of; Dr Draelos Knew what it was and said he would make every effort to work with me, and he has. Awesome doctor at the top of the endocrinology pyramid.

Bedside manner is terrible. Encourages bad eating habits that could encourage an eating disorder. Zero empathy. Doesn’t listen to patients concerns. Talks down to patients.

First off, I want to say that Dr Drealos is a fantastic thorough doctor. He really listened, answered questions, & really seemed to care. All these negative reviews seem to be with his staff which isnt really fair to him. I've had doctors in the past that have had really bad bedside manners, didn't answer questions, & didn't seem to care. Please keep that in mind when choosing this doctor. If you don't receive a call back to schedule an appointment, be proactive and call this office back, it's worth it. There might be some hiccups with the staffing, but once you get in to see Dr Drealos, his expertise is worth the wait. I went in to see him for a second opinion and I trust him 100%, whereas the first doctor I saw left me feeling uneasy because he refused to answer any questions until I ran blood tests, etc. Dr Drealos was happy to answer all questions I had. Also remember, people are more apt to leave bad reviews than good reviews.

Very incompetent, the front desk personnel never answer the phone nor return phone calls. The PA that treated my husband up and left the clinic with no contact to us as we had an appointment scheduled with him. They are a poor excuse for medical help and I would not recommend them to anyone.

On my last appointment, the PA or NP (whichever she was) that I saw knew nothing about my medical history. She was unaware that I had bypass surgery several years ago, that I had a stent installed nine years ago, nor did she know that I had had a kidney transplant. It is obvious that she walked into the exam room totally unaware of who I was, unprepared to discuss any treatment plan, and she had definitely not read my medical file. The turnover of personnel at this practice is unbelievable.

Staff is apathetic and rude, phone calls go unanswered and they are unresponsive. I feel these people are literally putting my life at risk with their game playing. It’s really a shame because my experience with Dr. Draelos has been pleasant. The staff cancels my follow ups and reschedules me for months down the road. When I ask what I should do because I’m symptomatic, they say, I don’t know what to tell you. Really? I’m so frustrated. Do yourself a favor,go anywhere but here.

Never returns calls. Had my referral for weeks and never called to schedule me, even after me leaving message after message stating I was leaving town and needed issues resolved. This practice cannot keep their PAs for a reason....those people, like the patients calling deserve better. If I ever get my referral processed by Mercy to another location I will go there, but I never will go to this office.

In the several years we've been to this office, we've seen Dr. Draelos once. The rest of the time we see his physician assistants. His PAs are nice, but overly concerned with test results rather than patient reported symptoms. The staff in the front office are incompetent, rude, and generally unpleasant. Many times, I've seen them talking amongst themselves then scowling or rolling their eyes when a patient comes up to the [closed] window. Do not go to this office.

The best endocrinologist clinic in Oklahoma if not America. I know a family who flies all the way from Alaska to see Dr. Draelos for their health needs. The staff is very caring and friendly and I was in the clinic recently and was able to get in and out faster than ever before. I would say the clinic has definitely improved since I've been there. And his PA and Nurse Practicioner are both top of the notch as well. Whatever they're doing, they're doing right.

I've had a handful of appointments with Dr. Draelos, and I never feel like he listens to me or pays attention to my case, which is very frustrating as a type 1 diabetic. I have seen about 4 different PAs that I have REALLY liked, but every time I start to feel comfortable with one of them, the next time I go they are no longer employed there. I have had some good experiences with some of their staff, but mostly have found them pushy, rude, and impatient.
