Dr. Christopher Cefalu, MD

Had a biopsy and was told that things were good except that there was chronic inflammation. I had forgotten to ask what we could do about it so I called in. They told me they could not answer the question unless I made another appointment. Well I just went in for the biopsy and needed one question answered. OK so I tried to make an appointment but there was nothing available for 6 weeks. Felt like I was not important since he was so busy anyway he did not need the extra patient.

I receive testosterone replacement through the clinic and visit the office every 6 months. During this last cycle I called and had to change my appointment, but the office could not get me an appointment for 6 weeks past my initially scheduled date and when my pharmacy called to get the prescription refilled the office refused. As you might imagine, that did not sit well. Many times these things go on and the physician is unaware of what is happening with his practice so I decided to tell him during my visit. I started out by telling him that I was not happy with the recent situation and told him about the events. Told him that I would rather let him know, in person, about issues I felt were present in his practice before making a negative review. He told me “I don’t give a sh*t about google reviews”. I asked him to clarify if that meant he didn’t care about patient satisfaction?

office visit feel like its not about patient and his medical issue, now a days front desk stop you to see doctor until you first pay them, and insurace give you estimate what to pay but they ask double or triple, and refuse to give you details this payment is for what. Even though i meet my dedcutable, and only have to pay 20% they refuse to take 20 percent and dont even allow to see doctor. i never refuse to pay, i ask for details and itemize, but they also refuse to give me that. Seems like, i should pay them what ever they ask., whats the point to have meical insurace if this going to happen in these medical clinic.

this first visit, not very professional, office behaviors is like money more important, rude, refuse to provide itemize bill, and refuse to allow to see doctor, they told me to see doctor. Violation of doctor oath, paitent first before money, race color or religion, but now these stuff upfront abuse that and more like if you dont pay upfront you cannot see doctor.

The doctor was nice knew what he was doing because the medecine worked.. he is now my preferred doctor.

Everyone was very friendly, caring & helpful . Dr. Cefalu took the time to listen to my concerns, and explained everything so I was able to understand. I would highly recommend him & his staff !

I was taken right away into exam room. Dr. Cefalo care in 1-2 minutes. He is very personable and a very good listener. He met my needs and asked if there was anything else he do for me. There being none, visit was terminated

He did two procedures on me in his office. After the second one I opted for surgery. He told me about everything and gave me the choice to do in office procedure or totally fix my problem with surgery.

No one better to diagnose and treat a urology condition. In the office, a very busy guy. Can be abrupt and doesn’t always take the time to explain what patients might expect. Showed a great deal of compassion, however, at the hospital on the day of my surgery.

I came in for procedure, and was kind of nervous. They calmed my nervousness by their professionalism and expertise.

Dr Cefalu did an amazing job at providing all the information regarding my procedure. He answered all my questions and gave me realistic outcomes. He does not sugarcoat anything. If I wanted that I’d go to a bakery. Great staff and overall experience!!

After I discussed my issues with the doctor he offered a prescription for the symptom I have. But when I ask what is the problem he never really said, He didn’t run any test so how did he come to a conclusion so quick? So, I ask him about information I read about that said this issue may be just part of something more serious. He said well if you would like (?) I can get a PSA test which I said yes a test would be nice. A nurse drew blood and haven’t heard back from his office. 20 days later I call and they said they would have to call me back in 24-48 hours and the results could not be e-mailed to a personal email address. The only reason I chose this doctor was is associated with Baylor Scott and White and they have an App that you can see your test results and appointments . Very disappointed with my visit and will have to take another day off work to see someone else.

If you are looking for an intelligent, thorough, competent, timely, gentle and quick doctor that will ensure your kidney issues are addressed he's the doctor for you. Dr. Cefalu performed surgery to break up and retrieve my 7mm kidney stone. He was reassuring and competent. I knew I was in good hands. He and his staff are organized and thorough. I won't go to another urologist for kidney stones. He's a keeper! Fantastic Doctor and Staff!!! Fantastic!!!

Zero interpersonal skills If you’re issue doesn’t fall within his very narrow focus he was of zero help.

My husband had an appoint To discuss a couple of issues…We were literally in his office 10 minutes….horrible personality 0 concern for patient… DONT WASTE YOUR TIME

Terrible bedside manner. Zero in fact. Husband had a procedure done by Dr Cefalu and left without introducing himself to me while in recovery room nor did he come out to say how procedure went, what to expect during recovery - nothing. Left building without a single word. My husband started experiencing complications and when we called him, he was rude and was of no help. My husband ended in the hospital with severe sepsis. Worst experience with a doctor we have ever had.

I highly recommend Dr. Cefalu for any of your needs, I've been seeing for several years now and he and his staff are fantastic. They take there time to speak with you during the visit to ensure all your question are answered while at the same time not holding you up or dragging out the visit.
