poor eye care
Dr. Eifrig is personable, office is nice. Enticed by reviews, I went to see him- retina problems, torn, puckering etc. not in great shape. He was reassuring, wanted to wait, my eye got worse as months went by, nothing done Not until my regular opthamologst called with concern did he take action, surgery performed, within 5 days retina detached. He reattached retina with siicone, continually told me leave silicone in hoping eye would improve. My regular opthamologist again contacted him concerned after over a year, retina was worse. Then decided to remove silicon in retina, and sign a waiver it may detach. I left and got 2nd opinion. Current doctor said with retina swelling, removal of silicone good probability of detaching. New doctor gave me an injection for retina edema, and my retina has improved. IMO Eifrig is too busy, or too ignorant to pay attention to symptoms, and provide proper medical treatment. Possibly my retina would be better if I'd received treatent when needed.

Dr. Afrig is the best ophthalmologist I have ever seen. I had vitrectomy of both my eyes without any complications. His communication with the patient is very friendly and respectful. His patience is admirable.

Communicative, patient, thorough, extremely qualified and very personable Dr. Eifrig took as much time as was needed to address my concerns better that 3 previous opthamologists. Dr. Eifrig provided my 3rd second opinion and it did differ from the previous doctors. OC Retina wanted to keep injecting my eyeball and Dr Eifrig said this did not appear to be the correct treatm't based on what he found during my exam. He was personable and comforting. His staff was also exemplary. Great referral!

I was on a cruise ship when my vision changed. We docked in Long Beach on a Saturday. Instead of an ER, a friend's optometrist called Dr. Eifrig. He examined my eye and said it wasn’t an emergency but needed follow-up in my hometown. He provided a referral and texted me the next day, a Sunday, to say the Phoenix office would be calling me. Dr. Eifrig gave an out-of-town stranger continuity of care, empathy and patience amidst an abundance of questions. This is a talented physician who cares.

I have been seeing Dr. Eifrig for almost five years now for chronic uveitis. He is one of the kindest and wise doctors I have ever been to. He listens to me and explains things well. He is also very brilliant at what he does. He has helped me with a rare, chronic condition. I trust him totally. His staff is also great.
