Dr. Sumit Garg, MD

I had a bad outcome from cataract surgery with someone else and Dr. Garg explained what happened and what I needed to do in the future.

He has tremendous experience. He is a very personable human being. He answered my questions. The younger doctor who came in before him was equally pleasant and informative. I would strongly recommend them.

I liked De Carg's directness and his confident demeanor. He spent time with me discussing and offering several options for my continual eye care. This was a great medical visit for me. I also admired his teaching style with the two interns who were present during my visit - while encouraging them to give their opinions, and where he offered them other possibilities and options, he did so without 'putting them down', but strictly as an educational experience.

I had previously been going to an older ophthalmologist for cataract screening. While he was certainly competent, the quality of the staff and technology at GHEI and Dr. Garg in particular were several levels above my experience previously. I would highly recommend!

I called in the morning with a concerning issue, described what was going on, and they got me in to see Dr. Garg within an hour. So relieved! As always, Dr. Garg and his associates were attentive and put me at ease. The staff is always very professional and they are, obviously, very knowledgeable and skilled.

Waits are too long

Everything went well during the appointment. Dr Garg answered all questions

[staff name removed] was awesome! Started to visit off on positive and productive foot. She was very knowledgeable and helped make my wife feel welcome to be in with Dr. Garg. [staff name removed] also recognized we traveled from Dallas for this consultation so she had all the technicans performing tests to do so in efficient manner. Dr. Garg was also awesome! Highly recommended by my Dallas ophthalmologist and he didn't disappoint. He was thorough, explained his logic and reasoning, and showed my wife and I the visual images which supported his recommendations. Didn't pretend or offer comment on areas where he isn't an expert, e.g., retinal surgery. Sam is just the type of physician I am looking for!
