Dr. Kesl is one of the few fellowship-trained orthopedic trauma surgeons in the Kansas City area. That means if you're critically injured in an accident and have several broken bones, he's the doctor who may be called in to help put you back together. During his fellowship with Wellspan York Hospital, York, Pa., he developed special expertise in the repair of complex long bone fractures, periarticular fractures, pelvic fractures, non-union of fractures, including grafting procedures, other complex trauma-related fractures, and general orthopedics. Dr. Kesl joined OSI following completion of his fellowship. He performed his residency in orthopedic surgery with OSI at St. Mary's Medical Center, Blue Springs, Mo. He completed his doctor of osteopathic medicine degree at the Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences, and earned his bachelor's degree in biology from Columbia College, Columbia, Mo.

Dr. Brian Kindred is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon with College Park Family Care located within the Specialty Center in Overland Park, Kansas. He is affiliated with Overland Park Regional Medical Center and Research Medical Center. Dr. Kindred's areas of clinical focus include general orthopedics, sports medicine and joint replacement. He offers more than 20 years of patient care experience and has served in multiple professional leadership roles including hospital medical staff president and chief of surgery.Dr. Kindred earned his medical degree from the University of Kansas School of Medicine and completed a residency at Saint Louis University Hospitals. He is a member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, the Kansas Orthopedic Society, the Mid-Central States Orthopedic Association and the Kansas Medical Society.

While I still enjoy performing general orthopedic procedures such as total knee replacements, carpal tunnel release, and trauma. My passion is foot and ankle surgery, in particular, the treatment of complex foot and ankle reconstruction including total ankle replacements, flat foot and cavovarus deformities, as well as tendon and ligament reconstructions. As a former collegiate tennis player, I have a passion for sports injuries related to the foot and ankle.

Growing up in the Kansas City area, I am excited to return to the region after training at some of the top centers of orthopedic education in the nation to provide excellence in the care of sports medicine knee, shoulder, and foot/ankle injuries. I am passionate about providing the same high level of care that I received as a patient/athlete during my high school and collegiate career. My primary objective as a clinician is to understand the desires of each patient regarding their respective injury/condition and hope for return to function, and to employ what I have learned to best achieve that goal.
