A graduate of Savannah Country Day School, Dr. Halpern grew up in a medical household and knew at a very young age that she would someday become a doctor herself. In pursuit of that goal, Dr. Halpern graduated cum laude from the University of Georgia's Honors Program with a BS in Biology and a BS in Psychology. In addition to her pre-med work at Georgia, she interned at the Brett Clementz Research Lab and at Ourlife Health. During medical school, she served as a Clinical Research Coordinator for Meridian Research Group in Savannah. Dr. Halpern is a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society, American Medical Association and the American College of Physicians. She lives in Savannah and enjoys spending time with her husband, Stuart, and their son, Bennett.
