Dr. Nicole Cohen, MD

Dr Cohen is terrible at patient communication. After treating my parents for years I tried to get an appointment to deal with a health concern raised by my ophthalmologist-treated me like a new patient, couldn’t see me for 5 months and didn’t have the courtesy to personally return my call despite a decade long relationship as my parents caretaker. I was surprised and disappointed at the treatment.

I moved to Savannah and was seeking a new primary doctor. I felt like a number and did not believe Dr. Cohen was very caring. I felt she was not very interested in me as an older woman in my 60’s. She was hurried meeting me the first time for my consult, and lacked conveying concern in helping me to achieve my fullest health potential. (She basically told me to exercise more and eat less.) She took me off of Thyroid medication that I had been prescribed by my previous doctor. After months of extreme tiredness and frustration, I researched and found some amazing internists that are truly passionate about their work. I actually needed my thyroid medicine increased. My health improved! I got the feeling (in my opinion) she prefers working with younger people. I actually found a male doctor that was more proactive in senior women’s health and really listened and made me feel confident he was being proactive to keep me healthy so that I will be able to watch my granddaughter grow up!

I waited 6mos for the appt. The staff is rude sharp and demanding. The doctor didn't really listen to my complaints or address any issue to the the conclusion of the matter. No referrals made contact with me that the doctor claimed to connect to me for my overall health management. She is a pencil pusher, get them in get them out so called doctor. I wouldn't recommend her to my worst enemy. She is so unhealthy for my health. Shame on you

Have tried to make an ER f/u for my father, to no avail. The issue isn't with her staff, as much as it is having to call a central number and speak to someone who not only has no medical knowledge or experience, they also don't pass on important to the provider! Care has been delayed a week because of this, and my father has been bedridden since

Short wait time. Friendly professional staff. Nice facility. Dr. Cohen asks good questions and listens attentively to my answers. Seems to genuinely care.

Here's what I sent to the office. Pretty much explains it all! I am really disspointed in the lack of personal attention based on my most recent visit. During my new patient visit Dr. Cohen looked at the computer more than at me, she checked my heartbeat, walked out. Nurse came to take my blood, tried twice and couldn't get anything. Although when she backed out the needle, blood came dribbling out. Had to go to the lab. Bruised for a week. After all that, I thought I would see how long it took for eveything else to pan out. My lab results came in 2 days later and several markers were high. No call, no message. Only 1 of the referrals that were supposed to be requested have called for me to make an appointme. My new patient visit was on March 29th!! Please cancel my upcoming telemedicine call. I will no longer be a patient. Thank you.

Caring doctor, friendly staff.

Dr. Cohen was very professional but also personable. She took plenty of time and answered questions and thoroughly reviewed my history.

I had such a terrible experience seeing Dr. Cohen. I unfortunately received abnormal test results and was worried and confused, but Dr. Cohen never gave me a call to explain the results, not even after multiple messages begging her to call me. She had her assistant call me, and a later doctor told me that the assistant’s information had been incorrect as I suspected. Dr. Cohen caused me weeks of tremendous anxiety which a simple caring call would have fixed, especially since the next doctor told me that the abnormal result was a false positive! It’s not right to treat your patients this way.

Dr. Cohen has a reputation of dismissing patients that have any follow up needs.

Unfortunately Dr Cohen is not someone you can trust to listen and respect your elderly parent's care with, especially if English is not their first language. She refuses to communicate care instructions via anyone but her patient, even if the patient gives consent to speak to her children. Because of the miscommunications, there are billing issues, specialist referral issues- and worst of all- my mother walks out of every appointment confused and feeling like she was spoken down to because English is not her primary language. If you are someone who just needs yearly bloodwork with no follow up, Dr Cohen is great. If you would like a doctor who is empathetic and has some humanity, and can help manage elderly care, look elsewhere.

Dr Cohen is amazing. I went to her for a mental health appointment and she was able to properly diagnose me in one visit where other doctors never seemed to scratch the surface. I am now anxiety free and losing weight quickly. I would recommend her to anyone looking for amazing care

Horrible. Went in for a follow up from an ER visit. The Nurse came in and told me to take my arm out of my jacket and proceeded to ask me questions. Before I could get through the answers the nurse walks out never to return by the way. As I am sitting there with my arm still out of my jacket, I hear her staff of nurses along with the front desk person loudly discussing my business out in the hall, right next to the room as if I couldn’t hear them. I opened the door and they hushed each other. I gave them all a piece of my mind. Then, Dr. Cohen comes in and I tell her about it. She acts as if it is no big deal. Needless to say my blood pressure was never checked and I had been complaining of a high heart rate. She is very dismissive and her staff is extremely unprofessional in my experience. This was not my first visit to her but it may be my last. Find someone else if you can.

I needed a primary and wanted to discuss my anxiety issues and back pain. She was very dismissive of me and my concerns and went as far as to mom shame me when I told her of some of the underlying issues causing my anxiety. Basically, "your life is no different than any other mom's, if you did such and such better, you wouldn't have these problems." was her attitude. She left the room without even a goodbye before I could even have a chance to discuss my back pain issues.

Dr. Cohen is great. Totally professional and she takes the time to listen to me and any questions I have. I appreciate her as my doctor.

Dr. Cohen is extremely professional, she listens and takes the special care that is needed on your visit. No rushing and thorough.

Always pleasant. Nurses are very gentle and very professional and personal. Dr Cohen knows what meds work for my ailment. Never any long wait to get to see doctor. You’ll be satisfied with appointment and results.

Dr. Cohen always takes the time to listen, order necessary tests and eases my mind. She is very compassionate and takes a personal interest in her patients.

She took the time to go over my history and talked about what we want to see going forward. Attentive and helpful.

Dr Cohen is the best! Always available and very responsive. Never feels rushed, takes the time needed. Very up to date with new medical issues. Gives sensible, practical advice. Highly recommend as a PCP.
