He is fellowship trained in orthopaedic trauma and reconstruction, with a special interest in complex fractures and joint replacement, both primary and revision. He has experience with minimally invasive surgeries as well as percutaneous stabilization of pelvis and acetabulum fractures. Additional training at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital in Norwich, England has provided Dr. Fox with a variety of experiences and perspectives on injuries to the musculoskeletal system and their treatment. Dr. Fox believes in taking the time necessary to help patients and their families understand the options, both surgical and nonsurgical, that exist for any orthopaedic condition. Return from injury and improved quality of life are important, and these are a central focus of his treatment paradigm.

Care Philosophy: Dr. Dodgin specializes in hip and knee replacement. He is well-versed in minimally invasive procedures, arthroscopic techniques, and complex surgery. Previously, he developed advanced replacement programs and computer navigation. The board certified surgeon is dedicated to providing patients with the highest quality care.

Biography: Dr. Jacob Manuel graduated Phi Beta Kappa with a degree in Biochemistry from the University of Texas in Austin. He then earned his medical degree from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas at the top of his class. He completed his residency in general surgery and Orthopedic surgery at the University of Illinois at Chicago's College of Medicine and was elected Chief Orthopedic resident in his final year. Dr. Manuel completed his fellowship in joint reconstruction at Cornell University's Hospital for Special Surgery in New York. Working with world renowned faculty and pioneers in joint replacement there, he was elected as the most outstanding operative fellow. Dr. Manuel is a specialist in hip and knee replacement and is Board Certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery. He also is specifically trained in complex reconstructions and revisions of both hip and knee, computer navigated and minimally invasive techniques, hip resurfacing, and unicompartmental knee replacements with robotic assistance. He is also a member of the American Academy of Orthopedic surgeons and a Fellow Member of the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons.Dr. Manuel, his wife and two children enjoy living in Austin. He is an avid Longhorn sports fan and he and his family enjoy traveling.
