Biography: Dr. John D. Valentine has been in practice in the Hendersonville area since 2007. He has offered robotic assisted surgery since 2016. Performing numerous robotic procedures ( 1000 ) including: colon resections, hernia repairs, and gallbladder removal (including single-site gallbladder). This experience has allowed him to train other surgeons new to the robotic system. This surgical approach provides less pain, shorter hospital stay, and a faster recovery for patients.

Biography: Dr. Alissa Swearingen is a board-certified general surgeon with over 14 years of experience. She practices at Tristar Skyline Medical Center and St. Thomas Midtown Hospital, both located Nashville, Tennessee. Dr. Swearingen chose general surgery as her specially because she enjoys helping patients find curative solutions to their healthcare needs. In those patients that require long-term follow up, she very much enjoys establishing and maintaining those relationships. She enjoys the variety of the specialty as well. Dr. Swearingen earned her medical degree from the University of Tennessee health science Center in Memphis, Tennessee and completed her residency in general surgery from Phoenix, integrated surgical residency in Phoenix, Arizona. After residency, Dr. Swearingen return to home city of Nashville to begin her medical practice.
