Biography: Dr. Gordon was born and raised in Long Island, New York, went to medical school at New York University School of Medicine. He completed internal medicine residency at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (BIDMC) after which he served as an academic hospitalist for several years at BIDMC before completing his renal fellowship at Tufts Medical Center and obtaining a masters in clinical care research at the Tufts University Sackler School of Graduate Biomedical Sciences. Following completion of his renal fellowship, Dr. Gordon joined the faculty at Boston Medical Center where he served as the Training Program Director for the renal fellowship and the course director for the Renal Pathophysiology course. He has been actively involved in studying the management of hepatitis C virus in chronic kidney disease and has served on the Evidence Review Team for the 2008 and 2018 KDIGO guidelines on HCV in CKD as well as the upcoming KDIGO guidelines on care of the transplant candidate. Dr. Gordon also served as one of the developers on a novel multidisciplinary team to manage Thrombotic Microangiopathy cases at BMC.Dr. Gordon returned to Tufts Medical Center in 2018 and will continue his work in hepatitis C virus in CKD, thrombotic microangiopathy, polycystic kidney disease (PKD), as well as kidney transplantation. He will also serve in educational roles in the Tufts University School of Medicine.
