Dr. Gennaro Carpinito, MD

Met with Dr. Carpinito once and he seemed very personable, professional, and knowledgeable. The plan to seek a diagnosis for my husband consisted of blood work, bone scan, CT scans, MRI and biopsy. He said after the completion of all the tests, he'd meet with us to go over everything. Incompetent staff...forgetting to book tests, lack of knowledge with regard to prep, scheduling, no accountability. They lied to me on two occasions. Chaotic, to say the least. I ended up writing a letter after they forgot to schedule the biopsy, telling him how mismanaged his staff was, and how upsetting it was for us. Needless to say, after he received the letter, instead of meeting with us, he basically flicked us to the doctor who performed the biopsy. (That doctor was in same office, same level of confusion at time of procedure) Dr. Carpinito never called to go over results, to acknowledge letter, or to apologized for his staff. This is how the office treats patients with cancer.

Dr Carpinito took the very best care of me throughout my kidney cancer crisis. My surgery went very well as did my recovery. It was reassuring to be in such competent hands.

Asked him about MRI report in patient portal. He asked me “why? Can you read MRI’s”. Wants to meet with you two weeks after testing. Such a long time to make someone wait when they are very concerned. Left and went elsewhere.

Have been a patient of Dr. Carpinito for more than 10 years. Always smiling. Always efficient and always taking care of my problems. Would recommend Dr. Carpinito for urological problems similar to those of mine.

Almost five years ago I was diagnosed with prostate cancer and referred to Dr Carpinito at Tufts for surgery. He was extremely caring and professional throughout my procedure and subsequent visits through the years. I would recommend his care to anyone. Thanks again.

Had a partial nephrectomy 10 days ago, done by Dr. Carpinito. And it all went so well. I have had no need for narcotic pain relief and am up to walking 2 miles/day. Dr. Carpinito explained everything and answered questions. His assistant, Dr. Ask, was also fabulous. And his nurse, Kathy, was also fantastic - removing my JP drain and answering all my questions. Highly recommend Dr. Carpinito!

Dr Carpinito was outstanding from start to finish of my treatment. He took command of the situation, diagnosing the issue, prescribing a course of treatment for a long pre-surgery period (due to the pandemic induced delays) and then flawlessly performing the surgery needed to address the issue. His followup has similarly been a blend of care and professionalism. Couldn't recommend him more highly.

Dr Carpinito is the best. I had/have full confidence in him and his team. I have been a patient for just over five years. After having a rapid increasing PSA and needing a biopsy, I was refered to Dr Carpinito by a dear friend who spoke highly of him and the whole team. After a through exam he discovered I had kidney cancer, prostate cancer and a kidney stone that was about to become a problem. The next day surgery for kidney stones. Dr Carpinito performed all procedures with great sucess. During pre-op an OR nurse asked who my doctor is. I told her Dr. Carpinito. She told me not to worry he is the best. She had her dad flown in to Boston for Dr. Carpinito to perform his procedure. What more do you need to know, the nurses know what goes on there! Just as important he kept my wife informed each and every procedure. We thank him quite often. I could say more but I am running short on characters remaining. Thank you and your team again.

My PCP recommended me to Dr. Carpinito over 5-1/2 years ago for treatment of a renal cell carcinoma. I chose him to remove the tumor because he was more sincere, caring, experienced, human, and interested in helping me in a timely manner than the other doctor from another institution with whom I spoke. My wife and brother both felt the same way. I have been seeing Dr. Carpinto regularly since the surgery, and he has always been pleasant, informative, and willing to take time to answer all of my questions. I was officially discharged cancer-free this past week. :-)

Dr.Carpinito is excellent,he is very understanding,caring,and professional. He cured my prostrate cancer with no side effects. He recently removed a large kidney stone and treated the complications.
