Care Philosophy: My Dear Patients, After careful consideration, I have decided to go into private practice with a non-insurance cash-only practice. This is a wonderful and new medical practice model called, "Direct Primary Care." I will be staying in my office at "The Village" at The Landings on Skidaway Island. I have 'Admitting' and 'Surgical' privileges for both Candler and Memorial Hospitals. My new practice model will allow me to care for patients the way that I have always done - with empathy, care, and compassion. I will not be accepting any commercial insurance, Medicaid, Tricare, or Medicare. This is not health insurance. This practice model does not yet count as health insurance on your taxes. Biography: Dr. Arthur Baker is a skilled physician dedicated to treating high-risk OB with thorough attention and detailed care. He is board-certified in maternal fetal medicine and is fellowship-trained.

Care Philosophy: Dr. Brandy Gheesling knew from the time she was a little girl that she wanted to be a pediatrician. She began her training with her undergraduate degree at Augusta State University with a BS in Biology & Computer Science. She went on to earn her medical degree from Mercer University School of Medicine and completed her pediatric internship and residency at the Medical College of Georgia.She is board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. She is a Clinical Assistant Profess or at the Medical College of Georgia and Mercer University. She is on staff at both Memorial University Medical Center and St Josephs/Candler hospitals.Having breastfed all three of her children, Dr. Gheesling has a great passion for breastfeeding and in 2018 she became an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) so she could be better equipped to help her patients and their parents with breastfeeding.She is active in the Georgia Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics where she is currently serving as District 13 representative and on the Breastfeeding Committee. She is also an EPIC Breastfeeding Trainer for the American Academy of Pediatrics Georgia Chapter so she can teach the physicians of Georgia about breastfeeding.She is married to her husband Brian and they have three children, Anna Kate, Miller and Jack. They also have two dogs and a Persian cat. They enjoy boating, going to the beach and traveling.
