Biography: Christopher W. Flowers, MD is a board-certified and sports medicine fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon at Texas Bone & Joint in Denton, Texas. He specializes in the treatment and prevention of sports and non-sports-related injuries to the shoulder, elbow, hand and wrist, knee, and foot and ankle.A fourth-generation physician from Plano, Texas, Dr. Flowers providers sports medicine expertise as a team physician for Ryan High School, Denton High School, and other local High Schools in the surrounding Denton Area. He is also the orthopedic consultant for the University of North Texas in Denton and Texas Women's University in Denton athletes. Biography: Andrew Chambers, MD is a board certified andfellowship trained orthopaedic surgeon who specializes in joint replacementsurgery. He received extensive training in joint replacement surgery during hisfellowship at Harvard Medical School / Massachusetts General Hospital, whichwas voted as the top hospital in the United States. Dr. Chambers has a specialinterest in MAKOplasty Robotic assisted knee and hip replacement surgery andhas performed several thousand joint replacements during his career.The MAKOplastyprocedure is changing the way joint replacement surgeries are performed byproviding each patient with a personalized surgical experience based on theirspecific diagnosis and unique anatomy using CT-based 3D modeling. Biography: Sheena Bhuva, M.D., A Plano, Texas native, has joined the Texas Back Institute as a Physiatrist. She completed her Interventional Spine and Musculoskeletal Medicine Fellowship at Desert Spine and Sports Physicians in Phoenix, Arizona. She earned her Doctorate of Medicine at Texas A & M Health Science Center College of Medicine, Bryan and Dallas, TX in 2013. She completed her Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Residency, where she was Chief Resident at Baylor University Medical Center, Baylor Institute for Rehabilitation, Dallas, TX.Her recent Honors include the Arnold P. Gold Humanism and Excellence in Teaching Award (1 of 3 PM&R residents who have won this award from 2004-2016), the American Academy of Neurology Medical Student Prize for Excellence in Neurology, and The Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago Sarah Baskin Award for Excellence in Research.She is a member of the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, the Spine Intervention Society, the North American Spine Society, and The Texas Medical Association.Dr. Bhuva enjoys spending time with her family and friends playing board games and trying new restaurants. She also loves to travel and stay active by playing basketball and hiking. She has a second degree black belt in USA Martial Arts.

Biography: John Kristoferson M.D. is a Board Certified Orthopaedic Surgeon. Born into an engineering military family, he grew up in Europe and the Eastern United States. Out of necessity he learned to fix what's broke, a talent which developed into an Orthopaedic career.He attended Trinity University in San Antonio, graduating Summa Cum Laude. He then entered The University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas, again graduating with highest honors. He completed his training at U.T. Southwestern affiliated hospitals, finishing the final three months working for The National Health Service in Norwich, England.Dr. Kristoferson has been married for forty years, has four adult children and four grandchildren. They are his greatest achievement. Aviation is his primary hobby. He built and flies an experimental aircraft. He also owns and flies a Lake Renegade Amphibian aircraft. A trip to Alaska is on his bucket list.Dr. Kristoferson has extensive experience in nearly all orthopaedic procedures. He is grateful to have lucked into his perfect career choice! He goes to work each day because he wants to, not because he needs to. He is committed to taking the time to understand a patient's needs/desires and facilitating an optimal outcome.
