Biography: Dr. Jarolimek was born in Prague, Czech Republic. He graduated from the University of Colorado with a B.A. in Biology. Dr. Jarolimek completed his medical degree, internship in General Surgery and residency in Orthopedic Surgery at the University of Texas Houston Health Science Center. He is a member of the Texas Medical Association and the Harris County Medical Society.Prior to becoming a physician, Dr. Jarolimek trained in Judo at the United States Olympic Center in Colorado Springs, Colorado. He is still active in the martial arts and is the World Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Champion in the Senior Division. Free time is spent with family, Jiu Jitsu training, kayaking, and skiing.

Care Philosophy: I strive to provide the best care for active people, educate them on their options, and help then return to their desired level of activity as quickly as possible, preferably without surgery. But if surgery is necessary, I use minimally invasive techniques combined with state of the art rehabilitation to optimize recovery. I use video visits / telemedicine to minimize patient travel time and allow communication with the patient whether they are work, school, or therapy.

Care Philosophy: Dr. Kevin Varner, chairman of the Department of Orthopedics at Houston Methodist Hospital, specializes in foot and ankle disorders. Specific areas of interest include tibia fractures and sports related injuries of the foot and ankle. He serves as the head team physician for the Houston Ballet and is the assistant team orthopedic surgeon for the Houston Texans, the Houston Dynamo and the University of Houston. He is also a member of the Houston Methodist Center for Performing Arts Medicine. Dr. Varner completed his foot and ankle fellowship at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, MD. He is certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery and was named by Texas Monthly magazine as one of its ``Super Docs``. Dr. Varner sees patients in the Texas Medical Center.
