Biography: Audrey Drummey, MD, an OB/GYN with University of Maryland Shore Medical Group-Women's Health, has a passion for bettering the health and lives of women throughout their life stages. Her interests include the management of gynecologic health, contraception, fertility and low- and high-risk pregnancies. She has experience in minimally invasive gynecologic surgery with laparoscopic and DaVinci robotic approaches for the treatment of heavy menstrual bleeding, fibroids, endometriosis and chronic pelvic pain. Dr. Drummey is from the Washington, D.C., area. She earned her bachelor's degree from Tulane University in New Orleans, Louisiana. She completed her medical degree at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, Virginia, where she developed an affinity for women's health. Dr. Drummey trained in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, North Carolina. She was elected to serve as the Academic Chief Resident, a role in which she worked to further evidence-based medicine and quality improvement. Dr. Drummey's diverse interests have led to several presentations at national meetings. She has presented work on vaginal breech deliveries at the 2017 CREOG & APGO Annual Meeting. She also created a video to help educate other health professionals on vaginal deliveries, which was presented at the 20202 CREOG & APGO Film Festival. She earned a Future Leaders award from the Society of OBGYN Hospitalists for her passion for maternal safety and quality improvement. She is passionate about women understanding their genetic predispositions for cancer, and researched and presented on a model for Universal Genetic Screening for BRCA and Lynch Syndrome at the Society for Gynecologic Oncology Winter Meeting and Annual Meeting in 2019. Dr. Drummey is an active member of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology and the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists. She is certified in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).

Biography: Dr. Argeles is the Chair of Obstetrics and Gynecology at UM BWMC. Dr. Argeles received his undergraduate degree from Duke University, a Master in Public Health from the University of South Florida and a Doctor of Medicine at the Ponce School of Medicine in Puerto Rico. He completed his internship and residency at Lehigh Valley Hospital in Pennsylvania, and was named OB/GYN Teacher of the Year several years in a row. Dr. Argeles is board certified and is a member of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. He is specially trained to perform da Vinci robotic gynecologic surgeries and laparoscopic procedures. Dr. Argeles is an assistant professor of OB/GYN and reproductive science at the University of Maryland School of Medicine. He speaks fluent Spanish and has been a member of UM BWMC's medical staff since 2005.

Biography: Javier H Cajina, MD, FACOG, an OB/GYN with University of Maryland Shore Medical Group-Women's Health, has a passion for caring for women in all phases of their lives. His interests include the management of high risk pregnancies, including chronic hypertension and diabetes, among other conditions. He has experience in minimally invasive gynecologic surgery with DaVinci robotic and laparoscopic approaches for the treatment of fibroids, ovarian pathology and chronic pelvic pain. He is fluent in written and spoken forms of Spanish. Dr. Cajina graduated at the top of his class from the Universidad Americana in Nicaragua. During his time in Nicaragua, he developed a passion for working with families with limited resources and ran multiple mission trips to help low income families receive medications and adequate medical care. He also ran his own family health clinic while there. He plans on continuing to work with underserved families. Dr. Cajina completed his obstetrics/gynecology residency at Sinai Hospital of Baltimore with multiple rotations at Johns Hopkins in Baltimore. He has a passion for education and research and was integral in developing algorithms at Sinai Hospital for the diagnosis and management of pre-term labor. His work was presented at the 2019 CREOG & APGO Annual Meeting and Maryland ACOG 2019 Nagey Resident Research Day. During his residency, he was awarded the Resident Achievement Award for Outstanding Minimally Invasive Surgery resident and received a Recognition of Excellence in Minimally Invasive Gynecology. Dr. Cajina is an active member of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology, the Society of Laparoscopic Surgeons and the Nicaraguan-American Medical Association. He is certified in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) and Cervical Length Education and Review (CLEAR).
