Biography: Dr. William Pena is board-certified in internal medicine. He earned his medical degree from Universidad Autonoma de Santo Domingo in 1982. Dr. Pena's residency practice includes Bronx Lebanon Hospital in 1991, and Mt. Auburn Hospital in 1993.

Earned my medical degree from St. George's University Medical School in Grenada, W.I., August 1998 to June 2002. Received a Bachelor of Science from Florida International University in Miami, Florida, graduating in May 1998. I enjoy hospital privileges at Aventura Hospital and Medical Center in Aventura, Florida. In January 2009, was appointed Chairman of the Aventura Hospital and Medical Center Medical- Surgical Peer Review, a position I have continuously held since 2009. In 2018 was elected Treasurer of the Medical Executive Committee for the hospital. Also have served as Chairman of the Internal Medicine Department for 4 years, and Vice Chief of Staff for 2 years. I am a diplomate of the American Board of Internal Medicine. Am fluent in English and Spanish.
