Biography: Jeffry T. Zern, M.D.,FACS,currently serves as Director of Minimally Invasive Surgery for General Surgery at ChristianaCare. He completed a Minimally Invasive Surgery fellowship in 1997 and has been practicing at ChristianaCare for the past23 years. Dr. Giraldo is board-certified in general surgery and surgical critical care by the American Board of Surgery. Dr. Giraldo earned his medical degree from Universidad Pontificia Bolivariana and completed a general surgery residency at Instituto de Ciencias de La Salud, Medellin, Colombia. He also completed general surgery residency and fellowships in surgery critical care and acute care surgery at Christiana Care. Dr. Giraldo is a fellow of the American College of Surgery and member of the Society of Critical Care Medicine, American Medical Association and Pan-American Trauma Society.
