Care Philosophy: Minimally Invasive Gyn Surgical (MIGS) options are changing the way women should expect to experience surgery. Certainly, no one looks forward to having surgery, but if you need a procedure, I'm committed to striving for painless, bloodless surgery, with minimal scarring, fast healing, and the least disruption to your life possible. I have been a board certified, practicing Ob/Gyn for almost 20 years. Since being introduced to robotic (daVinci) surgery in 2010, I have performed over 350 daVinci procedures. I was one of the first several dozen gyn surgeons in the US to complete the Master Level (highest level) of daVinci surgical training. I'm especially interested in benign complex gyn problems such as pelvic pain, endometriosis, large fibroids, hysterectomy, pelvic prolapse, and uterine bleeding problems. 99% of the surgeries I have performed in the past 4 years have been successfully completed through small incisions, with no major complications. In order to be able to offer minimally invasive surgical options to more women, I retired from delivering babies in April of 2014 and found the San Antonio area's first dedicated MIGS practice, Virtuosa Gyn. In my office, you should come prepared for a personal experience, from kind and compassionate office staff, combined with my "girl talk" bedside manner. Biography: Caroline Gibbons, MD is a native San Antonian. She graduated from University of Texas at San Antonio where she received a Bachelor of Science in Biology. She received her medical degree from UT Health Science Center at San Antonio followed by her OBGYN residency at UT Health Science Center in San Antonio. Dr. Caroline Gibbons is board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. She provides care for conditions ranging from teen health, contraception, minimally invasive gynecologic surgery, high-risk pregnancies and menopause. Dr.Gibbons has more than 12 years of experience taking care of women. She not only has an understanding and comprehension of women's health, but her warm bed side manners make women feel their care is important. When she isn't caring for her patients in clinic or the hospital, Dr. Gibbons enjoys spending time with her family and friends. She enjoys exercising, traveling, participating in her Belgian heritage, and watching her 3 daughter's play soccer.

Care Philosophy: Our physicians are experts in the diagnosis and treatment of female disorders. We are equipped to perform anything from annual well women exams, including family planning to hormone management, to diagnostic procedures, minimally invasive surgery and other advanced procedures, which may be indicated. Obstetric and gynecologic ultrasounds, or sonograms, are conveniently performed in our Medical Center office by one of our experienced, registered sonographers. Your physician reviews all images and the information gained assists them in planning your prenatal or gynecologic care.
