She is an alumnus of Nova Southeastern University College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed her general surgery training at HCA Florida Kendall Hospital in Miami, Florida. Her clinical interests encompass a diverse variety of general surgery procedures including biliary, hernia, intestinal and breast surgery. She is trained and certified in robotic and minimally invasive surgery. She also cares for patients with emergent surgical pathology. Before joining Baptist Health in 2022, Dr. Nowack completed his fellowship at Baptist Health South Florida with Anthony Gonzalez, M.D. He is passionate about using the most up-to-date surgical technology, including the DaVinci robotic surgery platform. Because of this dedication, he earned the robotic surgical resident of the year in 2021. Biography: Christopher Senkowski, M.D., is a board-certified general surgeon and director of the General Surgery Residency Program at Baptist Health. His clinical interests include complex general and gastrointestinal abdominal surgeries.Prior to joining Baptist Health, he was professor and chair of the Department of Surgery and director of the General Surgery Residency Program at Mercer University School of Medicine, in Savannah, Ga. As a surgery program director, Dr. Senkowski has trained more than 70 surgeons, many of whom are in active practice throughout the country. He takes great pride in knowing he has helped develop competent and compassionate surgeons. Dr. Senkowski earned his medical degree at Harvard Medical School. He completed a general surgery internship and residency at Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York, N.Y.
