Biography: Dr. Ishaq Y. Syed grew up in Cleveland, Ohio. He is board-certified in orthopedic surgery and fellowship-trained in spine surgery. He received his undergraduate degree in Biomedical Engineering at Johns Hopkins University where he graduated as a member of Tau Beta Pi. He received his medical degree from Case Western Reserve University. He went on to complete his residency at Rush University Medical Center and his fellowship in spine surgery at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. Dr. Ishaq Y. Syed actively participates in teaching orthopedic residents as well as conducting spine research. He is highly skilled in both traditional and minimally invasive surgeries. He specializes in the treatment of spinal conditions including: Arthritis of the spine (osteoarthritis, rheumatoid) Degenerative disc disease Herniated discs Pinched nerves/Sciatica/Radiculopathy Spinal deformities (scoliosis, kyphosis) Traumatic injury to the spine Spinal stenosis (narrowing of the spinal canal) Spine tumors Outside of work, Doctor Ishaq Y Syed enjoys spending time with his wife and two daughters. Biography: Dr. Tompkins and his team are dedicated to providing excellent neurosurgical care by incorporating the latest surgical innovations and technology with scientific research and outcome analysis. Dr. Tompkins' research on brain and spine surgery has been presented at state and national neurosurgery meetings and has been published in the Journal of Neurosurgery. His areas of expertise include back and neck surgery including complex spinal instrumentation and minimally invasive spine procedures, treatment for neck and back pain, cranial surgery, peripheral nerve surgery, stereotactic radiosurgery, and the treatment of vascular malformations, aneurysms, and tumors. Dr. Tompkins is married to Dr. Melissa L. Tompkins, a pulmonary and critical care specialist. They have two daughters, Christina and Victoria.

Care Philosophy: I dedicate my practice exclusively to the thorough evaluation and treatment of cervical, thoracic and lumbar pathology. When required, surgical treatments are tailored to meet patients needs.
