Care Philosophy: As an orthopedic surgeon who specializes in hip and knee replacements, including the anterior hip approach, I strive to help patients get back to the activities that they enjoy most. Although joint replacement surgery may be the ultimate solution to arthritis for many patients, there are often non-operative treatments that can provide relief and improve quality of life. I enjoy getting to know my patients so that I can understand how arthritis affects their lives and so that we can discuss what treatment option best fits their individual goals. I earned my medical degree at the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry, completed my residency in orthopaedic surgery at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center and completed a fellowship training in adult reconstruction in Scripps Clinic. I am currently a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS) and the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons (AAHKS). During my time away from the hospital I enjoy playing golf, working on home improvement projects and spending time with family and friends.

Biography: Dr. Greenleaf was born and raised in rural Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. Dr. Greenleaf obtained a degree in Biology at Cornell University in Ithaca, NY, where he was also a First Team All-Ivy League and Honorable Mention National All-American in wrestling. He went on to receive his medical degree with honors from Drexel University College of Medicine and then completed his residency training in Orthopaedic Surgery at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA. Finally, Dr. Greenleaf completed his Fellowship training in Spine Surgery at Harvard's Massachusetts General Hospital and Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston, MA. Training at an internationally renowned facility afforded Dr. Greenleaf exposure to the diagnosis and care of complex spinal conditions, particularly in degenerative conditions, adult deformity and spinal tumors. He also received training in cutting-edge minimally invasive techniques both at Harvard facilities and with the Neurosurgeons of Cape Cod group located in Cape Cod, MA. Dr. Schoifet has been appointed Medical Director for Joint Replacement Services throughout the Virtua Health Systems. He is an instructor for Minimally Invasive Surgery (MIS) for Partial and Total Knee Replacements, both nationally and internationally. Biography: Dr. Porat, a native Philadelphian, graduated from Cornell University with Honors prior to attending Temple University Medical School. He was inducted into the AOA Medical Honor Society at Temple and subsequently completed an Orthopaedic Residency at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital. While in residency, he was selected to attend the annual AOA-OREF forum for upcoming leaders in the field of orthopedic surgery. He completed a Fellowship in Adult Reconstruction (i.e.; Joint Replacement) at The Rothman Institute/Thomas Jefferson University Hospital. He has written several peer-reviewed journal articles in hip and knee replacement and has co-authored several book chapters.
