Biography: John Kristoferson M.D. is a Board Certified Orthopaedic Surgeon. Born into an engineering military family, he grew up in Europe and the Eastern United States. Out of necessity he learned to fix what's broke, a talent which developed into an Orthopaedic career.He attended Trinity University in San Antonio, graduating Summa Cum Laude. He then entered The University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas, again graduating with highest honors. He completed his training at U.T. Southwestern affiliated hospitals, finishing the final three months working for The National Health Service in Norwich, England.Dr. Kristoferson has been married for forty years, has four adult children and four grandchildren. They are his greatest achievement. Aviation is his primary hobby. He built and flies an experimental aircraft. He also owns and flies a Lake Renegade Amphibian aircraft. A trip to Alaska is on his bucket list.Dr. Kristoferson has extensive experience in nearly all orthopaedic procedures. He is grateful to have lucked into his perfect career choice! He goes to work each day because he wants to, not because he needs to. He is committed to taking the time to understand a patient's needs/desires and facilitating an optimal outcome.

Biography: Dr. Ishaq Y. Syed grew up in Cleveland, Ohio. He is board-certified in orthopedic surgery and fellowship-trained in spine surgery. He received his undergraduate degree in Biomedical Engineering at Johns Hopkins University where he graduated as a member of Tau Beta Pi. He received his medical degree from Case Western Reserve University. He went on to complete his residency at Rush University Medical Center and his fellowship in spine surgery at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. Dr. Ishaq Y. Syed actively participates in teaching orthopedic residents as well as conducting spine research. He is highly skilled in both traditional and minimally invasive surgeries. He specializes in the treatment of spinal conditions including: Arthritis of the spine (osteoarthritis, rheumatoid) Degenerative disc disease Herniated discs Pinched nerves/Sciatica/Radiculopathy Spinal deformities (scoliosis, kyphosis) Traumatic injury to the spine Spinal stenosis (narrowing of the spinal canal) Spine tumors Outside of work, Doctor Ishaq Y Syed enjoys spending time with his wife and two daughters. Biography: Christopher W. Flowers, MD is a board-certified and sports medicine fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon at Texas Bone & Joint in Denton, Texas. He specializes in the treatment and prevention of sports and non-sports-related injuries to the shoulder, elbow, hand and wrist, knee, and foot and ankle.A fourth-generation physician from Plano, Texas, Dr. Flowers providers sports medicine expertise as a team physician for Ryan High School, Denton High School, and other local High Schools in the surrounding Denton Area. He is also the orthopedic consultant for the University of North Texas in Denton and Texas Women's University in Denton athletes. In his free time, Dr. Flowers enjoys spending time with his family and participating in a variety of different sports. His wife is a dentist and he has two small children.

Care Philosophy: Dr. Hohman has multiple peer reviewed publications and scientific presentations at both national and international conferences. His clinical interests include optimizing primary total joint replacement procedures and outcomes for his patients. Dr. Hohman has particular interest in the management of pain and the rapid return of function around the time of surgery for his hip/ knee replacement surgeries with the use of specialized techniques, including minimally invasive/ muscle sparing direct anterior total hip arthroplasty (total hip replacement). Dr. Hohman also specializes in the surgical management of complex primary and revision total hip and knee arthroplasty/ adult reconstructive procedures. His fellowship training has also provided extensive experience in the surgical management of periprosthetic fracture and infection diagnosis/ management surrounding total joint replacements.
