Biography: Ayman Mahdy, MD, is board-certified in urology and urogynecology with more than 25 years of experience. Dr. Mahdy obtained his medical degree from Assiut University in Assiut, Egypt, where he also completed an internship and residency in general urology. Dr. Mahdy completed a clinical fellowship in voiding dysfunction and female urology at the Cleveland Clinic Florida in Weston, Florida, and research fellowship at Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, SC. Since 2013, Dr. Mahdy has been the educational site director at West Chester Hospital in Cincinnati, OH for the urogynecology fellowship programs at the Christ Hospital and the Good Samaritan Hospital. He also served as the interim division chief and the inaugural interim department chair from 2019-2024. He has held numerous professorial and academic positions and holds a patent for a radiation and chemotherapy enhancement.

Care Philosophy: Faiyaaz Jhaveri, MD, is a board-certified urologist with advanced fellowship training in urologic oncology and prostate cancer. A past chairman of the Department of Surgery at AdventHealth Heart of Florida, he is an award-winning assistant professor of urology at the University of Central Florida College of Medicine and has been practicing urology for more than two decades in Washington and Florida. After graduating with honors from the University of Oregon, he earned his medical degree at Oregon Health Sciences University and undertook his general surgery internship and residency at SUNY Health Sciences Center in Syracuse. He thereafter completed an elite urology residency at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he received the Pfizer Scholars in Urology Award before undertaking his fellowship training at the Cleveland Clinic in Ohio. Dr. Jhaveri has performed over 5,000 major and minor operative cases, including over 1,000 prostatectomies and over 1,000 nephrectomies.

Biography: Richard I. Silver, M.D. is a board certified Urologist caring for patients in Kissimmee, Florida. Dr. Silver was born in New York City and was raised in New Jersey. He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Natural Science at Johns Hopkins University, where he graduated with honors and was inducted into the Phi Beta Kappa honor society. He earned his Doctor of Medicine degree at The University of Chicago, where he again graduated with honors and was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha honor society. Dr. Silver then trained as a resident in urology at The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, TX. In addition to five years of surgical training, he spent a year performing laboratory research on 5alpha-reductase type 2, an enzyme responsible for both normal genitourinary development and abnormal growth of the prostate. He was the first in the world to develop and perform experiments to show the exact location of the enzyme in both benign and malignant prostate tissue, which was a milestone discovery. After his residency, Dr. Silver spent an additional two years in training as a fellow in pediatric urology at Johns Hopkins Hospital, where he performed complex reconstructive procedures on younger patients, conducted laboratory and clinical research on hypospadias and the exstrophy-epispadias complex, and contributed significant original reports to the urology literature. He has published 35 peer reviewed papers and 13 book chapters. Dr. Silver enjoys all aspects of urology and caring for patients with a wide variety of urologic problems. His special interests include urinary tract infection, varicocele, benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), stone disease, trauma, voiding dysfunction, vesicoureteral reflux, undescended testes, congenital anomalies, and urogenital reconstruction.In his limited spare time he enjoys playing golf, fresh water fishing, digital photography, international travel, and spending time with his family. Dr. Silver is certified by the American Board of Urology and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.
