Care Philosophy: I chose Orthopaedic Surgery because it is incredibly rewarding to restore another human being's function and quality of life through the skill of my own hands. My approach to patient care has always been to treat patients as if they were my own family or friends who need surgery. My strength as a physician is completely relating to patients, making them laugh, making them comfortable, explaining every detail to them, and making it easy for them to be confident in me and making them know I will always be there for them. In my spare time I like to hang out with family and friends, ski, play tennis, and read.

Care Philosophy: My hobbies and the injuries they caused sparked my interest in orthopaedic surgery. As an active outdoorsman, triathlete and skier, Ive seen my fair share of hip, knee and shoulder damage. I learned to work nimbly with my hands through my love of woodworking. Combined, those skills and experiences made orthopaedic surgery a perfect fit. While completing a sports medicine fellowship at the University of Kansas, I worked with high-performing athletic teams including the Kansas City Chiefs. Yet my practice today involves care of patients of all ages and skill levels. Every patient is like a family member to me. I want them to feel supported. We are a team. In that team, my role is to ease pain so my patients can get back to the activities they love. I address anything from hip and knee restorations to ligament reconstruction, shoulder instability, tendon repair and fractures so that together, we can get you well again!
