Approachable and personable.
For the follow up after some injections, Dr. Bean was personable, approachable and listened to my questions. His diagnosis for the injections seems to be right on as I have no more pain in my foot! (Thank you to Brooke as well!)

Caring and thorough
This was a postoperative visit. The entire staff and Dr. Bean were very thorough, timely, and kind. I did not feel rushed at all. Dr. Bean went above and beyond other doctors I’ve had in the past. He helped me with my foot in so many ways, and I am truly grateful.

Foot construction
Dr. Bean is very meticulous. My foot was a hot mess and he carefully pieced it back together so I’ll retain mobility as I age. Post op appointment was an eye opener to see what it all looked like. I’m so glad he was my surgeon.

Efficient and knowledgeable
Process was quick and easy, straight to the point with an answer of why I was experiencing discomfort. Although I was uncomfortable I was redirected to a nurse to show me a product and state it was cash pay as if it was a retail store. I went here for answers as to what I needed for appropriate shoes and care, and left feeling uncomfortable because I didn’t buy a product in the doctor’s office. I communicated I didn’t have proper shoes to use the insoles and the nurse was still trying to figure out a way to sell me $60 insoles. I didn’t wear appropriate shoes to this appointment (slippers) because I knew I’d be in an out of shoes and I was basically mocked at for it. As I was leaving I heard someone ask the nurse “no luck?” As if I was just another commission sale. Now I’m wondering if what I’m experiencing was a legitimate diagnosis or not.

So HAPPY with the results of my ankle fusion!
I went to see Doctor Bean aprox. 2.5 years ago about a traumatic injury to my ankle from a car accident. I was 54 years old at the time, and a very active woman. He talked with me about having ankle fusion surgery and how it would resolve my chronic pain issue, due to severe arthritis. I was scared and opted for a new ankle brace instead (I had been through 3 braces at this point). I saw him a few times after that visit with the same complaint. He compassionately and patiently encouraged the ankle fusion as a resolution to my chronic pain. At this point walking was very painful, and I was having days that I could NOT weight bear at all. In early 2023 I decided to have the ankle fusion surgery, mind you, I was very skeptical and almost canceled. Now, at 6 months post op, I am so very happy with the results! My quality of life has improved. I have significant improvement in walking speed and stride. I feel like my old self again. So grateful to Dr Bean and his staff.
