Biography: Vivien Fongué, D.O., is an orthopedic surgeon with Miami Orthopedics & Sports Medicine Institute and member of Baptist Health Medical Group, an organization of more than 18 physicians in multiple specialties integrated within Baptist Health South Florida. He specializes in the non-surgical and surgical treatment of general, acute and chronic orthopedic conditions affecting the bones, joints and soft tissues, complex fractures, non-union and mal-union, posttraumatic reconstruction of upper and lower extremities, pelvic and actabulum fractures, and periprosthetic fractures. Dr. Fongué has special training in orthopedic trauma surgery, ranging from simple isolated fractures to multiple musculoskeletal injuries. He earned a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences, College of Osteopathic Medicine, in Kansas City, Missouri. He completed a residency in orthopedic surgery at Grandview Medical Center in Dayton, Ohio and a fellowship in orthopedic trauma surgery at the University of Missouri School of Medicine in Columbia, Missouri. Before joining Baptist Health, Dr. Fongué was an orthopedic trauma surgeon at United Health Service Wilson Medical Center in Binghamton, New York. He has authored peer-reviewed articles and presented research on his specialty. Dr. Fongué is a member of the American Osteopathic Academy of Orthopedics, the Orthopedic Trauma Association and AO North America. He is fluent in French.

Dr. Mena received his medical degree from the University of Puerto Rico School of Medicine in Rio Piedras. He completed an internship at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in San Juan, and a residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation at Boston University Medical Center, where he was also chief resident. In addition, he completed a fellowship in pain medicine at the University of Louisville Health Sciences Center in Kentucky. Biography: Keith Hechtman, M.D., is a dual Board-certified orthopedic surgeon with Miami Orthopedics & Sports Medicine Institute and a member of Baptist Health Medical Group, an organization of more than 18 physicians in multiple specialties closely aligned with Baptist Health South Florida. He specializes in both sports medicine and arthroscopy of the shoulder, elbow, knee and ankle. He is the head team physician for Florida International University and assistant team physician for the Florida Panthers hockey team. Over 2 years ago, he helped establish the relationship between Miami-Dade County Public Schools and Doctors Hospital to improve the healthcare of student athletes. Dr. Hechtman also serves as a clinical instructor for physician assistants and athletic trainers at Barry University, Miami Dade College and Nova Southeastern University. He was a physician for the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta. He is a professor in the department of orthopedics at Florida International University's Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine, clinical associate professor in the department of orthopedics and rehabilitation at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine and a voluntary associate professor in the department of exercise & sport sciences at the University of Miami. During his service as an orthopedic surgeon in the U.S. military's Operation Desert Storm, he was awarded various commendation medals.
