Dr. Kalaskar was inspired to specialize in colon and rectal surgery by the pioneers he has trained with. He developed a special interest in minimally invasive surgery as it provides the best outcomes to the patient with shorter hospital stay and less post-operative pain.

Biography: Dr. Koji Honda graduated from Dartmouth College with a B.S. in Computer Science in 1997 and Finch University of Health Sciences, Chicago Medical School with a M.S. in Medical Radiation Physics in 1999. Dr. Honda then graduated from Des Moines University with a D.O. in 2004. Honda has been with Lutz Surgical Partners since 2011.

Dr. Nguyen provides medical and surgical care for various diseases that affect the lower gastrointestinal tract with a special focus on colorectal cancers as well benign disorders like Ulcerative Colitis, Crohn™s disease, diverticulitis, and anorectal disorders. Her care philosophy is to manage patients and their expectations in an open and collaborative way. Dr. Nguyen wants her patients to feel as though she cares about them as if they were a member of her own family and doesn™t just look at them as a disease process. Dr. Nguyen is an active member of the American Board of Surgery, American Board of Colon and Rectal Surgery, and sees patients 18 years and older. To keep busy during her time away from work, Dr. Nguyen enjoys reading, running and spending time with her family.
