Dr. M was recommended by my Gastroenterologist for a second opinion. He thought I needed surgery for 2 fissures, she said no and did an outpatient procedure which worked perfectly.

She AMAZING!
Dr. Massarotti treated my colorectal cancer. I now have “precancerous” cells only. She has a fantastic bedside manner, spent a good amount of time with me, made sure I completely understood the plan of care and reassured me that I was going to be fine! I will follow her wherever she practices!

I’m in so much pain
Dr. Massarrotti diagnosed me with rectal prolapse. She performed the surgery on me on June 27, 2023. Since then, I’ve had trouble with constipation, pressure and pain from my tailbone to my rectum, and the feeling that I need to use the restroom all of the time. Not only that, but I have begun having spasms in my colon after using the bathroom. The pain lasts for hours! I also have begun having incontinence issues since my surgery. She told me she would get me through this, and last week I got a message that she was no longer seeing patients and now she’s gone altogether. I just pray that I can find somebody to fix this issue because I can’t see living the rest of my life like this. I would never recommend Dr. Massarrotti.

Very negligent. My mom has been in the hospital 4 months and had several procedures and surgeries due to her negligence!

Hemorrhoid surgery failed!
Came out of surgery exactly the same! No change! What a waste of time, money and pain. Plus her office manager told me I had no co pay and I was charged $810. Find another doctor.

Dr. Massarotti changed my life!
Dr. Massarotti literally saved my life in August 2017. My original J-Pouch surgery was performed at Mt. Sinai hospital in NYC in 1984 and it never performed correctly or as the surgeon had described. I had 34 years of misery having to empty my pouch a few times a day with a 10” long rubber catheter and and bulb syringe with water. I also had many episodes of pouchitis, a nasty infection that had to be treated with strong antibiotics. Dr. Massarotti removed the internal pouch and gave me an Ileostomy which has changed my life. I can now eat almost everything and have a normal life and can travel without the fear and worry of having to use a nasty enema process to empty my old J-pouch. God bless you Dr. Massarotti!

Do not recommend
I was continuously weight shamed and wasn’t included in the decision making of my own body for surgery; her way or no way. After failed surgeries I left for a second opinion since my voice wasn’t being heard. When I requested my records from her office they also did not reflect an honest outline of my time with Massarotti. My experience was night and day at the new Dr and I was able to pick my Ostomy site!! Everyone should be able to pick their Ostomy site within reason. People shouldn’t be forced to live with something that doesn’t work for them just because the Dr “always does it this way”.

The worst experience in 40 years of chronic illness. Dr. Massarotti has had the results of my cancer screening test on her desk for two weeks and will not give us the results. Staff said I could have an appointment in one month to discuss. How could I be expected to wait a month for test results? Two follow up physicians have requested our records and they will not provide them. The faxed request were confirmed received. Abby the office manager has been no help at all. Total lack of compassion and professionalism from this doctor and the entire staff.

I had an extremely good experience with Dr. Massarotti. I would recommend her to anyone needing surgery of this type. I'm going to steal a sentence from R. Weiss because it's a perfect description. "Dr. Massarotti is an extremely professional, intelligent, kind and very caring physician." She has the best bedside manner I've seen in my 67 years of life.
