Biography: Dr. Nielsen is a board-certified member of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. Prior to practicing in San Diego, Dr. Nielsen completed her medical internship and residency training in neurology at the Mayo Clinic in Scottsdale, Arizona. She continued at the Mayo Clinic with a fellowship in neurophysiology. Biography: Dr. Gualberto is a board-certified member of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. He is triple board certified in Neurology, Neurocritical Care and Epilepsy. He did undergrad at University of Missouri-Kansas City. He completed his internship at West Virginia University Hospital and fulfilled his residency training in Neurology at University of Miami Miller School of Medicine/Jackson Memorial Hospital. He completed a Clinical Neurophysiology fellowship focusing on epilepsy also at University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Hospital. After fellowship he moved back to where he was born and raised, St. Louis, Missouri and practiced seeing general neurology and stroke. In addition, he had a special interest in treating patients with intractable epilepsy. He also ran a dedicated multidisciplinary sports concussion clinic with Cardinal Glennon Children's hospital which was St. Louis University School of Medicine's primary pediatric teaching hospital. He was the primary sports concussion physician for elite soccer clubs around St. Louis area. Since his move to San Diego, his primary focus is Neurohospitalist/Stroke Director at Scripps Memorial Hospital Encinitas where he treats neurological emergencies and continues to manage patients with epilepsy. He has been published and has presented numerous papers. He is an active member of the American Academy of Neurology and American Epilepsy Society. In his spare time he enjoys playing basketball, tennis, skateboarding, cycling, attempting to surf, listening to music and watching all sports.

Biography: Dr. Quesnell grew up in Northern California. She received her Bachelor's of Science degree in Microbiology at UC Santa Barbara. She attended Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences where she received her medical degree. She completed her Neurology residency training at the University of Kansas in Kansas City, KS along with a fellowship in Clinical Neurophysiology. She then served as a clinical assistant professor in Neurology at the University of Kansas prior to joining the Neurology Center in 2016. Biography: Dr. Jeswani specializes in the surgical management of diseases affecting the brain, skull base, spinal cord, spinal column, and peripheral nerves. He graduated with University Honors from the University of Michigan with a dual degree in computer science and molecular biology. He then pursued graduate work at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where his research focus involved machine learning algorithms and their application to biomedical engineering problems.He then attended Wayne State University School of Medicine in Detroit, Michigan where he graduated in the top ten percent of his class and was elected to the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha National medical Honor Society. He was also awarded the Charles and Ann Pofreika Award for his academic achievement during medical school. He then went on to complete a residency in neurosurgery at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, where he was involved in over 2,000 surgeries. During his residency, he scored above the 90th percentile in the neurosurgery written board exam. He was also awarded the Leo G. Rigler award for outstanding resident achievement, as well as the Moise Danielpour Academic Achievement award.He finally pursued a post-residency fellowship at the University of Southern California in complex and minimally invasive spine surgery. Dr. Jeswani has also published numerous peer-reviewed articles in national journals, several book chapters, and abstract presentations at national conferences. His clinical interests include neurosurgical oncology, skull base surgery, cerebrovascular surgery, spinal oncology, spinal deformity, and minimally invasive surgery.
