Biography: Dr. Daniel Barba grew up in Detroit area of Michigan and graduated from Michigan State University, College of Human Medicine, East Lansing, MI in 2007. After completing his internship and residency at the University of Buffalo, NY in 2012 Dr. Barba moved to La Jolla, CA to complete his fellowship at the Scripps Clinic/San Diego Center for Spinal Disorders in 2013. Biography: Dr. K.C. Owsley is a fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon specializing in sports medicine. He has a particular interest in arthroscopy and reconstructive surgery of the shoulder, elbow, knee and ankle. A native of Escondido, California, Dr. Owsley graduated from San Pasqual High School and went on to receive dual degrees in Philosophy and Zoology from Brigham Young University. He received his Medical Doctorate with honors from Upstate Medical University in Syracuse, New York and remained in New York for his residency at the University of Rochester Medical Center. Upon graduating from residency, Dr. Owsley completed a sports medicine fellowship at the prestigious Kerlan Jobe Orthopaedic Clinic in Los Angeles. While there, he worked as part of the medical staff for the L.A. Dodgers, L.A. Lakers, L.A. Angels, L.A. Galaxy, L.A. Sparks Anaheim Ducks, USC Football and many high school, college and amateur athletes. He is a candidate member of the American Academy Association of Orthopedic Surgeons (AAOS), the American Orthopedic Society for Sports Medicine (AOSSM) and the Arthroscopy Association of North America (ANNA). Dr. Owsley lives in San Diego with his wife and is a proud father of two boys and two girls. He enjoys skiing, surfing, cycling and spending time outdoors with his family.

Biography: Dr. Soumya G. Rao is Board certified in Rheumatology and Internal Medicine. She completed her Rheumatology fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania in 2010. Prior to that, she completed her internal medicine training from Winthrop University Hospital at Mineola, New York. Dr. Rao has been in practice in Poway and San Diego for over 4 years and is a member of American College of Rheumatology. Dr. Rao sees patients with a wide variety of rheumatologic problems such as Rheumatoid arthritis, Lupus, Osteoarthritis, Osteoporosis, and other autoimmune related connective tissue diseases. During her fellowship she received training in ultrasound technique, which she incorporates into her practice. Her excellence in Rheumatology is recognized by her peers and dedication to work is appreciated by her patients. Dr. Rao is involved in basic and clinical research. She has presented her research at the American College of Rheumatology conferences and has published articles in well-known Rheumatology journals. Dr. Rao is fluent in Hindi and Kannada.
