Dr. Blom Specializes in Adult Reconstruction which is a subspecialty of Orthopaedic Surgery that deals with degenerative conditions of the hip and knee; as well as arthritis, bone and joint injuries, muscle problems, joint stiffness, pain and sports related injuries.

Biography: Dr. Jackson G. Cohen is a fellowship-trained, board-certified, interventional pain medicine physician. Dr. Cohen completed his internship in Internal Medicine at Maimonides Hospital in Brooklyn before moving to Miami for his residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Hospital, where he served as Chief Resident. He then went on to complete a fellowship in Interventional Pain Medicine with the Department of Anesthesia at the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Hospital. Dr. Cohen specializes in the treatment of spine and musculoskeletal pain, including neck and low back pain, hip, knee and shoulder pain, arthritis, tendon injuries, sports injuries, nerve pain, complex regional pain syndrome, and cancer pain, among other chronic pain conditions. Each patient receives an individualized treatment and management plan that is optimized to fit his or her unique needs. Dr. Cohen practices with a holistic approach, utilizing physical therapy and other modalities, minimally invasive procedures, collaborative patient education, and positive lifestyle modifications to reach healthy, positive outcomes. His ultimate goal is to provide pain relief for his patients, while also helping patients enjoy improved function and higher overall quality of life. He performs a variety of non-surgical and minimally invasive surgical procedures from fluoroscopic and ultrasound-guided injections to the placement of spinal cord stimulators and intrathecal pumps. Biography: Maria Kyriacou, M.D., is a primary care sports medicine physician at Miami Orthopedics & Sports Medicine Institute. Dr. Kyriacou specializes in non-surgical treatments for acute, overuse and chronic orthopedic problems. She has a special interest in sports-related injuries, joint arthritis, musculoskeletal ultrasound, and ultrasound-guided procedures. During her fellowship training, Dr. Kyriacou was involved in stem cell, platelet-rich plasma (PRP) and amniotic regenerative orthobiologic therapy. She is fluent in English, Spanish and Greek. During her fellowship, Dr. Kyriacou was part of the medical team for the Miami Dolphins, Florida International University, St. Thomas University and Barry University. She currently serves as a team physician for Florida International University. In 2019, Dr. Kyriacou was named Resident Teacher of the Year at Phoebe Health. She has also presented at a number of sports medicine conferences and meetings. Dr. Kyriacou served as the medical director for the Sneakers Marathon in Albany, Georgia in 2018 and as the event physician for Escape to Miami and Lifetime Miami Marathon in 2019.
