After a number of years away from home, Dr Orlick returned to St. Petersburg to begin his career as a vitreoretinal specialist and surgeon. His private practice obligations have been balanced by one of his main clinical interests: teaching. For the past twenty years, he has continued volunteering his time in the eye clinic of James A. Haley VA hospital, supervising in the care of veterans while teaching ophthalmology residents. Dr Orlick has vast experience in treating a variety of retinal diseases including macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, retinal tears and detachments, macular pucker and holes, retinal vein occlusions, and uveitis.
