Biography: Dr. Roger A. Walker is a Board-Eligible Orthopedic surgeon. He received his Bachelor of Science degree from Florida Atlantic University (FAU) College of Engineering. He was a member of the Varsity FAU baseball team and was selected in the Major League baseball draft. While practicing as a professional engineer, he obtained a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from FAU. He then pursued his medical degree at Nova Southeastern University. His orthopedic surgery training was performed at the level one trauma center, Broward Health Medical Center, in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. He continued his training at Orlando Health Medical Center, completing a fellowship in Orthopedic Surgery Sports Medicine. Dr. Walker specializes in shoulder, elbow, hip, and knee injuries. Taking a holistic approach to the patient, the goal of his practice is to develop a targeted patient-specific treatment plan for their injury. He promotes patient education and understanding of their injury and rehabilitation. A targeted non-operative plan gets most patients back to health. However, some patients require additional interventions. He is fellowship-trained in orthopedic surgery sports medicine, utilizing minimally invasive arthroscopic surgical procedures. These procedures implement advanced techniques to preserve cartilage, reconstruct ligaments, and repair tendons to preserve native joint longevity and performance. Biography: Dr. Ross was born in Saint Paul, Minnesota and grew up in the Twin Cities. After graduating with Summa Cum Laude with Honors and Highest Distinction from the University of Minnesota, Dr. Ross obtained his medical degree from the prestigious Harvard Medical School. He then completed his orthopedic surgery residency at the world-renowned Washington University in St. Louis, where he trained under the tutelage of leaders in the field of orthopedic surgery. He developed his passion for sports medicine while working with the St. Louis Rams and St. Louis Blues. Dr. Ross also worked along with leaders in the field of joint preservation surgery, which also sparked his research in hip preservation. After completing residency, Dr. Ross completed a fellowship in Sports Medicine and Shoulder Surgery at the University of Michigan, where he further honed his skill in Hip Arthroscopy. He was also team physician for many of the sports, including football, hockey, soccer, gymnastics and wrestling. After completing his fellowship, he was hired to join the faculty at the University of Michigan Department of Orthopaedic Surgery in the division of Sports Medicine. He also served at the Head Team Physician for Eastern Michigan University Football and the athletic department. He currently serves as the head Team Orthopedic Surgeon for Florida Atlantic University Football and Lynn University.
