Knee surgery
I had a knee surgery done by Dr. Leo 6 months ago. He was very professional and went through all the details about my knee recovery. He was very kind as well as all the Cleveland Clinic staff.

Total disappointment
I had the terrible experience by allowing this so called “Surgeon” perform my surgery, he did my surgery and found nothing.. literally nothing.. I had to wait a year to look for another provider that would see my case because no one would see you if you had surgery with another doctor prior a year. The other surgeon found a torn Mediscus along with other complications. I would tell you Run away from this provider ..

Negative experience with this Doctor
The worst interaction with a Doctor I've experienced. I was nearly in tears after this visit. I came to see Dr Leo for mysterious chronic knee pain. I've tried every conservative treatment under the sun: RICE, anti-inflammatory pills and creams, PT, cortisol injection, you name it. Yet the MRI was "clean", and I still didn't have a diagnosis. Dr Leo spent about a minute examining me, didn't ask a single question, and told me there was nothing wrong with my knee. His diagnosis - hamstring tendinitis, and treatment - continue PT until pain improves. When I asked if exploratory surgery was an option, he said "I don't think you need surgery for this, ever". When I presented evidence that contradicted his diagnosis, he said "I cannot explain that, but this is what you have. You don't need surgery". His overall demeanor was short, dismissive, and borderline rude. I ended up having arthroscopic surgery, and they discovered and removed a cyst in my knee, which was causing the pain.

We drove about two hours to go see him as he was highly recommended by a family friend. To say it was a waste of time is an understatement, his staff was nice and knowledgeable, but they ended up spending more time with us than he did. He was very condescending and almost pompous. He did not take the time to listen. In short we will not be returning huge waste of time and money.

My husband & I just saw Dr. Leo and was very impressed. He was gentle with his exam and took the time to answer all of our questions. He has a peaceful disposition, polite, and very professional. We are pleased with our choice and are grateful to be in his care.

I have seen Dr. Leo twice this year. First time in Feb 2019 and then again in May. I went in for a rotator cuff tendinitis and possible tear on a tendon. Yet, he dismissed the possibility saying that I just needed PT and sent me home after 2 min. Of a short statement of: “You are not a candidate for surgery “. First of all, I did not had a chance to say anything, and secondly, he was rude without regard to my feelings. Did not ask me a single question. Thanks God I went to Holy Cross for a second opinion, they ordered MRI and found a big tear on main tendon.

Dr Leo is the best doctor at Cleveland Clinic, Weston, Florida in my experience. His knowledge, professional approach to my very badly broken arm and compassion is appreciated so much. I am 80 years old and he spoke with such clearity in giving me instructions of care.

The injury I saw Dr Leo for was uncomplicated and required no surgery, so my review covers only a few office visits. He is very professional and concerned with my recovery. Office visits are easy and quick with almost no waiting. My only complaint is the same one I have with ALL the wonderful doctors at Cleveland Clinic. If you travel from any distance, it is almost impossible to coordinate appointments to be on the same day, even if you try months in advance. They are ALL EXTREMELY busy.

This review is as much for the Cleveland Clinic of S Florida as for Dr. Leo. I changed my orthopedist because at the other office a PA usually saw me; however, at Cleveland Clinic, I did not see Dr. Leo even in my initiation visit. Their radiologist did not report my chronical osteoarthritis, causing the insurance company to deny my treatment. They have sent a $756 bill with a $228 copay for seeing a PA and a wrong radiologist report. Much more to say but the space is limited here.

Very disappointed. Sat in waiting room 1 hour, DR never came in. Sent in ASST. ASST did exam on my knee. They sent me to PT as a result. Did that, pain did not go away. Called back asking DR to schedule an MRI, refused and actually have the nerve to ask me to come back into their practice to see another DR for the same thing? Seems to me they do not care about their patients here, AVOID at all cost.
