Biography: Dr. Williams completed The Maryland Spine Fellowship Program in 2002 under the direction of Paul C. McAfee MD, Associate Professor of Orthopedics and Assistant Professor of Neurosurgery at The Johns Hopkins University. Biography: James S. Raphael, MD, is the Chairman of the Department of Orthopedic Surgery, and Director of the Hand Surgery Program at Einstein Medical Center. Dr. Raphael specializes in the treatment of chronic and traumatic conditions of the hand, wrist and elbow. Biography: Dr. Andrew Beaver is a board-certified Orthopedic Surgery with specialized training in the area of sports medicine. Throughout his career, Dr. Beaver has served as a team physician for many high school programs and professional teams, including the Philadelphia Wings. Among his affiliations, Dr. Beaver is an active member of the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine. Dr. Beaver received his medical degree from Jefferson Medical College at Thomas Jefferson University. He completed his orthopedic surgery residency at Einstein Medical Center and fellowship trained in sports medicine at Union Memorial Hospital in Baltimore, MD. Biography: Dr. Shakked is an orthopaedic surgeon specializing in the treatment of foot and ankle disorders. She completed her residency in Orthopaedic Surgery at NYU Hospital for Joint Diseases and went on to complete a fellowship in Foot and Ankle Surgery at Hospital for Special Surgery in New York. He was the Valedictorian of both the Bayer School of Natural and Environmental Sciences and the McAnulty College of Liberal Arts. He graduated from the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine in 2002 where he was selected to the Alpha Omega Alpha (AOA) Medical Honor Society. Dr. Rihn is an Associate Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery at the Rothman Institute and the Sidney Kimmel Medical of Thomas Jefferson, where he instructs residents and fellows in the evaluation and treatment of a variety of spinal conditions. He is the Co-director of Spine Surgery at the Rothman Institute and Thomas Jefferson University Hospital and the Co-director of the Regional Spinal Cord Injury Center of the Delaware Valley. Dr. Rihn has over 150 peer and non-peer reviewed publications and book chapters and has edited several books and special journal issues related to the spine. He continues to be active in research and education that pertains to the evaluation and treatment of spinal conditions.
