Biography: Angelos N. Manganiotis, MD, FACS, is a highly experienced urologist at Urology Associates of South Florida. He provides Boca Raton, Florida area patients with urology treatments and procedures of all types including vasectomy, male infertility, testosterone replacement, treatment for prostate cancer, and treatment for hematuria / blood in urine. Dr. Manganiotis highly values each of his patients and treats them like family. Dr. Manganiotis speaks Greek as well as English, and the office staff can speak Spanish. This makes Urology Associates of South Florida welcoming to people from many different cultures. Dr. Manganiotis attended the University of Maryland School of Medicine, where he earned his medical degree. He then completed a urology residency at the University of Pennsylvania Health System. He is affiliated with Boca Raton Community Hospital. He is board certified by the American Board of Urology. Biography: Dr. Laurel Sofer, MD is originally from Westchester, New York. She completed her undergraduate training at the University of Rochester in Rochester, NY. She received her BA in Biology and Mathematics, graduating Cum Laude and was selected for Phi Beta Kappa Society. She received her medical degree at Sackler School of Medicine in Tel Aviv, Israel. She completed her Surgery and Urology training at the University of Illinois at Chicago in Chicago, IL. She is a member of the American Urological Society and the International Continence Society. Dr. Sofer's clinical interests include the surgical and medical management of male and female urologic disorders, including benign prostatic hyperplasia, sexual dysfunction, incontinence, kidney stones, and voiding dysfunction. She is well trained across all da Vinci robotic platforms (including the newest Single Port system) for the treatment of prostate and kidney cancer, and reconstruction of the urinary tract. She is proficient in all aspects of the minimally invasive treatment of benign urological problems, including laser enucleation of the prostate. Dr. Sofer is a loving mother of two young daughters. In her free time, she enjoys running, cooking, and spending time with her family. She is bilingual in Hebrew and English. She is excited to be joining the Z Urology family and looks forward to bringing her compassionate, high-quality care to the South Florida community.
