Dr. Barbara Ercole, MD

After waiting an hour in the exam room with those paper sheets covering me, I got dressed and walked out unannounced. There was no update nor an apology from anyone as to why there was a delay. Where do staff and these doctors such as Ercole come off disrespecting anyone like that? A patient's time is just as important as theirs. Someday, time spent with a physician will be just as long as the time spent waiting for them. Fortunately, there are other more respectful urologists to choose from.

Five stars are not enough to rate Dr Ercole. She is an excellent physician and has a wonderful bedside manner. Whenever I have an appointment I feel like I am visiting a friend. Cleveland Clinic is lucky to have her on their team.

Drove an hour out of my area to see her. Glad I did. Best urologist ever been to. Straight to the point, didn't sugarcoat anything, laid out a plan of action ( staff, and check-in, also: tops in professionalism) .

What can I say about this woman. I do not feel there are enough words in the dictionary to describe Dr. Ercole. Her bedside manner is exemplary. She takes the time to listen to her patients and also gives them the time for asking questions and addressing those questions. Her surgical abilities are second to none. I’ve never had surgery prior to last week abs she eased all my fears and concerns. I appreciated that she came to the pre-op room and spoke to me before my surgery and asked if I had any last minute concerns. She was with a smile on her face the whole time. I say first God and then this woman. I highly recommend Dr. Ercole. She saved my life and for that alone I will always be grateful and indebted to her. Thank you dear lady. God bless you always.

Stay away from her. She only cares about herself and is known to be incompetent when it comes to prostate issues. In average, I had to wait 2 hours for each scheduled appointment. Unfortunately, due to her negligence, I'm dealing with aggressive prostate cancer now which could have all been detected years ago if I had a better urologist.

She is the most arrogant, unprofessional, uncaring doctor I've every experienced. Under her care (for 3 years) my prostate cancer grew and after several failed biopsies by Dr. Ercole, the cancer was detected at a very late, aggressive, life threatening stage. DO NOT have her perform biopsies, go elsewhere for your prostate care. The Cleveland Clinic should be ashamed to have her on the team. She makes you feel you are lucky that she gives you her time.

Dr. Ercole is the best urology doctor I have found , very professional and warm, she know how to explain things in a very simple matter. I do not mind driving an hour because I am going to get the best treatment possible.

My first and only experience was horrible. Treated like a number. Front office regards patients as if herding cattle. Will not be back. Dr is kind, but her treatment was not helpful/successful. Another physician treated within days.

5 stars is not enough.......Dr Ercole is an amazing Doctor, whom Cleveland Clinic must be very proud to have on staff!!!! Dr Ercole took away my anxiety about medical procedure, by answering all my questions in a professional manor!! As a military vetran, I have met many doctors!!! knowledgeable and has a good reputation. But I found her cold as ice. Personality may not matter to some patients, as ultimately quality of care is what counts but a patient should not have to choose between warmth and competence. A good doctor has both. Felt that my questions were answered , however, I was not comfortable asking more than one or two because I did not feel my questions were welcomed.

Dr Ercole provides a level of care that is above and beyond. A thorough proffesional with excellent bed manners and impecable credentials.

Dr. Barbara Ercole is outstanding in her field her medical approach impressed me from my first consult. She is persistent in the most difficult cases. She is untireless, a warrior to get compromise to save your life. I was Admitted to the ER on Tuesday March 21 with severe pain on my side I was diagnosed with having a 5 mm kidney stone They told me that the urologist Dr Ercole will stop by to talk to me. After waiting several hours for the urologist to show up they told me I'm better off going home to try to pass the stone. The medication they gave me did not work, The pain came on very strong Had to return to the ER following day March 22 Now after a three day stay in the hospital Still not once did I ever

When you hear someone say " Don't ever get old " they are probably referring to Health issues . For men , its almost inevitable to suffer from some sort of Prostate problem . Luckily for myself , I was referred to Dr Ercole who I later discovered was the " go to choice " for most seasoned Urologists should they ever need treatment . She performed a painless simple Prostatectomy for me and I went from 69 years young to 18 once again . God bless Dr Ercole and her wonderful caring staff .
