Biography: Welcome to BetterHelp counseling, a meaningful step in the direction of recovering your birthright of peace and happiness. It is a delight and joy to be with you on your path - the path of the courageous to the warrior! Be it shorter stroll or longer journey, I look forward to discovering what it brings you in the here-and-now and what directions you would like to go. I have over 19 years of varied counseling history. I have experience working with a wide range of people and their problem. They range from autistic spectrum disorder, normal human development (to include relationship formation and maintenance - not to mention heart break and recovery), chronic and acute pain problems, sexual dysfunction (eg inability to engage in enjoyable sex) and sexual addiction, mood problems, PTSD, and the far reaching effects that these have on others. I have both inpatient hospital, outpatient clinical experience, and the skill set to bridge the two. I have worked in hospice, private hospitals, private clinics, military installations, chiropractic offices, and private practice. I have a considerable and well-developed tool box to help you in short-term situations. I also have considerable skill in systemic unconscious problems (AKA karma problems), family systems, and life-time problems. These may even be trans-generational. I enjoy helping people convert life hardships into life lessons and blessings. It may be difficult to imagine. However, like Maya Angelou said, "A person is a product of their dreams. So be sure to dream great dreams. And then try to live your dreams." I look forward to both hearing the dream, perhaps ending the nightmare to experience a clearer dream, and to walking with you till your dreams become your reality.

Biography: I am delighted that you have decided to consider counseling. I know the decision to seek counseling is important to you and hope we find I am a match for your journey of self-improvement. I believe that all who come to counseling possess a strength and courage that allows them to create a better and more fulfilling life. Whether you are feeling frustrated, lonely or depressed, I know there are many ways for you to begin to understand yourself and make progress. You might be unhappy with your relationships or the sense that there is more to life than what you are experiencing now. You may be relatively happy with your life and relationships, but want to find an even better way to live your life. All of these issues can be addressed in counseling. I believe the counseling relationship involves working together to develop a plan for your improvement. Sometimes you may need a listening, non-judgmental person to help you focus. Other time you may want a bit of advice on next steps. The key is to make sure you understand and trust the process so that your goals are in the forefront of each interaction. I love the ability people show with implementing change is his/her own unique way. I have worked for many years in healthcare. I became interested in counseling through my work with sleep disorders. While a guest lecturer at Stanford, I became familiar with the mental health aspects in this field. I wanted to gain more skills in this area so embarked upon a Master's degree in counseling. Quickly I became interested in much more in mental health than just sleep disorders I began a private practice 13 years ago where I work with many different kinds of issues. I work with people struggling with depression, anxiety, general life changes as well as sleep related problems. It has been so gratifying to have the privilege to work with all clients who are in the process of transforming their lives.
