As a health professional myself, I recognized information that was given about tinnitus, headaches, and medications were completely incorrect. (Ex: He claimed that tinnitus is caused by stress alone, and can be controlled by meditation. He claimed that ALL headaches are migraines, and suggested I should take rizatriptan for my sinus pressure induced vertigo. He claimed that meclizine is inadequate for vertigo treatment although it helped me bc it causes drowsiness. He claimed that instead I should use diazepam bc it is not actually additive and has less fall risk, which is 100% inaccurate.) He also performed a very expensive unnecessary procedure (barely inserted a nasopharyngeyoscope just inside my nostrils and charged me $990 as “surgery”)and requested that I do two more very expensive tests (MRI and additional auditory testing although I had a CT and normal auditory test) acknowledging they would very likely be normal. He seems very personable, but he is providing bad healthcare.

It is nearly impossible to find someone good with vestibular issues. I had been misdiagnosed by 2 previous docs and spent years of my life in misery because of it. Dr Watford got it right. Finally I have hope. If you have vestibular issues go see him. Certainly the best in middle TN.

I really enjoyed meeting Dr. Watford. He took so much time to explain things about my inner ear issue and I felt listened to, with all questions I asked. If you want a caring, knowledgeable specialist, then he's an awesome choice for medical care. I must say his sending me to have custom ear plugs made to save me from further hearing loss from high noise levels on airplanes, has been something I will ever be grateful for!
