Dr. Ted Schoettinger, MD

Dr Schoettinger is an outstanding doctor. I have been seeing him since I was a child. Dr Schoettinger and the staff always do all they can to make sure you’re taken care of.

Dr. Schoettinger is a very knowledgeable doctor and spends the time to provide an accurate diagnosis. HOWEVER, be aware if you're planning to be his patient, he requires SEPARATE visits for everything: a separate visit for prescription renewals, a separate visit for a wellness check, a separate visit for an illness/sickness/ injury, etc. You are NOT allowed to combine the purpose of your visit. And he charges extra for everything, including if your pharmacy has to call him with questions or if his office has to fill out paperwork for you. And never miss an appointment, because they will drop you as a patient (which has never happened to me, but this is posted very clearly in their waiting room).

My husband and I both go to Dr Schoettinger. He is so kind and truly cares about any concerns you may have. He’s the best!!

Until recently Dr Schoettinger has been wonderful. His office staff on the other hand are completely incompetent and rude. When the Nurse Practitioner made an error in my medication by calling a Rx for 10X the regular does no one seemed to care. When the office staff failed to call in my script leaving me without medication for days I called and left a message and Dr Schoettinger called and screamed at me because I was disturbing him on his holiday. I just called again and spoke with someone in billing who said she doesn't hand the kind of bill I had. I asked her to take a message and she refused. I will take the money I would have paid them and use it for an attorney. This is very unfortunate. Again Dr. Schoettinger was my doctor for years and I always thought the best of him and was willing to overlook his bad office staff. But something has drastically changed. I refuse to be berated by anyone, specially someone who I pay for their services.

An important doctor for me. Found serious afib on regular vist: perhaps saved major heart issues or worse. Dr. Ted is pleasant and explains things in terms anyone can understand. His entire staf of 10 or more is pleasant and always with a simile. I can't think of a better experience at a doctors visit.

Dr. Schoettinger is awesome, never feels rushed and always takes the time to listen.

Dr. Schoettinger, Dr. Stanforth, and nurse practitioner, Rebecca Moats, along their staff, provide a level of care, consideration, and expertise that I have not experienced elsewhere in family medicine.

He is always so kind and caring - excellent follow up. I highly recommend him.

The staff at the office are phenomenal! Best staff at any place that I have ever been. Dr Schottinger,however, schedules 10 minute appointments and really doesn't have time for in depth cases. If you are well and just need a physical or only have minor ailments, then you would be fine. If you have something more serious and long term, you would be better off going somewhere else.

After waiting an hour and leaving for the first appointment the second appointment was worse. The office staff was rude, the Dr 1. refused to do blood work and missed a thyroid condition 2. refused to prescribe a med and stated he needed to "protect his license" 3. ignored symptoms given and recommended 2 things that I had told him were previously tried. He has limited knowledge of typical family medicine issues and the wait is obnoxious for he and his wife.

The doctors schoettinger have always been most helpful, caring and efficient in my health concerns. Appointments have been timely. If there was a short wait time, I would like to be one of those patients he took the time to do the right thing and listen to my concerns! Thank you...hats off to the staff for dealing with painful patients who need immediate attention! (like me sometimes!...I get ratty when I am in distress). Karin
