Been a patient since 2017 wit a rare disease.
She is very informative. I have Takayasu arteritis. TAK. not much about this disease because it’s rare. But she knew how to manage the disease. I would recommend her to anyone. Great doctor.

Dr Gharib is excellent. She really listened to my symptoms and offered alternative treatments. I occasionally will have a flair, but it’s so much better.

I was never able to schedule an appointment not because she wasn’t taking new patients, but due to the fact that I had previously seen another rheumatologist! It didn’t seem to matter that I needed help with several autoimmune issues. No appointment after my primary care doctor’s office sent several referrals as required via fax that her office did not receive due to a problem with their fax machine. After taking valuable time from my primary care dr office, I never heard from Dr Gharib’s office. It was only after I called her office was I told she would not take me as a new patient. If you are considering scheduling an appointment, I hope you have better luck! I was told it was not office staff but Dr Gharib herself that chose to not schedule me.

Had an appointment with Dr. Gharib. After waiting for over an hour without been seen I left. First I ask if she was behind. Was told no. Called later to reschedule. Got an appointment for September 12, 2018. Was called by her office yesterday August 28 to say she canceled my appointment due to the fact that I had left my earlier appointment. How professional is this? This is her office in Morgantown, WV.

Closed mindset & limited knowledge about some very common autoimmune disorders. On my 2nd visit. I informed her that I had some questions about my condition. She cut me off & said she would give me an info sheet & I could find out what I needed. Every time I refer to fact sheets from the autoimmune foundation regarding new findings & practice guidelines, she talks over me & doesn't want to even look at it. It's so frustrating! There's few Rheumys in my area & insurance wont allow out of state.

I have been with Dr. Gharib for seven years and she has been straightforward since day one. She does not beat around the bush, she tells you how it is. What I like the most about her is she spends plenty of time listening and explaining any concerns or problems you may have.
